State of Emergency-NOAA Link in OP

One other thing I just thought of is that Richt could probably say lets wait or cancel if he wanted an easy out and maybe thought we werent quite ready. Just my thought but you would think he could help make the call to cancel but he isnt which is a good sign!!! He wants to pound them Saturday night!!!

Miami wants this game way more than FSU. It's why we haven't cancelled already, in my opinion. It makes no sense to cancel it when the area isn't going to be hit. It'll be a great chance to do a canned food drive.

Woah. UF game against LSU is cancelled.

Reports saying that LSU was willing to make the travel to Gainesville. Disgusting that a team can make the unilateral decision like that. If the gators can do it, FSU will be very tempted to do it too.

Can anyone explain how South Carolina could travel to #LSU without a problem last year, but Florida couldn't this year?

Lsu Florida game is cancelled no make up game not feeling confident now it will happen

UF LSU was also Saturday afternoon when a large portion of the storm was going to be in northern FL / Georgia. Not at 8 PM way down south in Miami where a total of 2 palm fronds have been damaged by the storm

The ******* eye of Matthew is already past Miami. Stop the crying and play ball. FSU fans are on Twitter wanting the game to be cancelled cause they can't travel and this storm is already gone. ***** *** *****es.

Laugh all you want. All you are showing is your ignorance. If you think the schools aren't having conversations about this very topic with the ACC then you are fairly simple minded

I'm in Palm Beach. North of here is mostly gator fans, with the exception of few of our finest ( Stay safe UKnowIt), so the heck with how they feel. We have the feather people in box and need to drive the nails in now. Donna is not here anymore and I doubt our new President is prepared to see everything he has done to have a winner go down the drain because north Florida people can take a power outage. Play the game if at all possible.

I respect your opinion. My comment wasn't about where Miami fans live. It was regarding public perception of pushing forward with a football game 1-2 days after a category 4 hurricane destroys the entire east coast of Florida north or Palm Beach. University leadership has to consider this. They may come to the conclusion to push forward with the game, but don't be surprised in the least that there will be some public backlash. I get that a lot of people on this board are too tough to have a little hurricane ***** up the game for them, but this hurricane is going to cause serious problems for the state of Florida.

You get that this is a football site, right? More importantly, it is a Cane football site. There might not be a a group of people who care less about public perception on the planet than Canes -- unless it is about us not getting respect. The only people who would care about that are more than likely leftover Donna lovers. Personally, I tore a 5 digit donation check into pieces and threw them Foote because and Sam said there were embarrassed by the team. Had my law partner and fellow Cane alum, not stopped me, I would have certainly beat the frigging bow tie off him. Now we have a healthy group of posters here who will and do engage in heated discussions about many non-football topics, but I have not noticed public opinion being one of them.

Sounds like a fiery pregame speech.......what are we arguing about? I'm in!

Would not dream of charging without you.
