State gets a consultant for corching search.

DHR International is owned by David Hoffman. The Hoffman family (basically real estate developers) has been buying up a lot of downtown property in Naples over the past few years. Think he was recently involved in the purchase of Hertz Arena in Estero (Ft. Myers/Naples area).

Bill Parcells. He was the linebackers coach at FSU from 1970–1972 and always wanted the HC job.

Responsible for Sumlin to Arizona, Gary Anderson to Utah State, and Charlie Weiss to Kansas...

Eek. Weis to KU was almost as bad as Willie to FSU. Literally had to get 6 wins for them to be happy and couldn't even do that.

They’re already off to a better start than Blake. Let’s see who they get.

Florida State's search started on Sunday November 3rd when they fired Taggart; something they've known they were going to do for a while—just a matter of when.

Mark Richt retired on Sunday December 30th; completely blindsiding everybody barely 24 hours after a 35-3 bowl loss.

Completely different ballgame. You can actually conduct a search when you fire you head coach with four games remaining in a season.

Richt bailed out end of year, going into a dead week—meaning no one was going to talk about anything until Monday January 7th—less than one month before NSD.

I you can't see a difference between the circumstances, don't know what to tell. Time wasn't on Miami's side post-Richt—whereas Florida State wants a new coach before the season ends; which is still two full months before NSD and will potentially save their recruiting class. Night and day.

I get the timing. But Blake said they were going to do a National Search... and they didn’t do anything of the sort.

Agreed. But, the late San Jankovich's philosophy was an AD should have a shortlist of replacements he'd start with if he had to replace a coach. Why is not relevant. Coaches get fired, retire, or leave for other opportunities.

I have no doubt hiring Manny was a knee-jerk reaction.

Consultant is just a way school's cover their ***. He can work back channels with possible candidates and keep things out of media, run background checks and rudimentary screening. Great work if you can find it.

Confirmed.

Players notified.
Still want Leach.

Guy is fixated still on contrails...want him bad.

My FSU source at work informed me that the coaching search has yielded truly remarkable and out of the box results. Florida State intends to use an advanced algorithmic coaching program that they have dubbed Warhorse. This AI will simultaneously handle head coaching and both coordinator positions, and is modeled on the attributes of Urban Meyer, Bobby Bowden, and Nick Saban. Warhorse will interact with players and staff via a wheeled cybernetic figure. This move also saves FSU millions in salary, with the only cost being development and maintenance:

This is confirmed. Players and FSU IT have been notified.

This is probably the post of the year on CIS.

You guys are so clueless...

Leach was in Tallahassee secretly (and incognito), in disguise, meeting with administration.

Nobody knew because nobody could recognize him in disguise.

Sources tell me close to done deal. Only snag was finding a pirate history discussion group in Tallahassee.
