Bro, in a time when every aspect of life is trying to tear you down, you've got to take solace in the little victories. Just the other day I received a letter of encouragement so inspiring that I framed it and hung it up in my office. Now, whatever challenge the day throws my way, I can look up with pride and no that I may already be a winner.

I wish mom was still around to do that. That lady sent me off with sandwiches with lettuce and tomato on a kaiser roll. Now if I'm lucky, the Uncrustable is thawed by lunch time.

The recognition I hung up came from and organization called Publisher's Clearing House, so I guess somebody must have submitted one of my fan fiction stories in a contest somewhere.

Thanks, but Sandy's "Hang in there, baby" cat poster is all the motivation I can stomach. She uses to have one title Perseverance with a mountain climber hanging off a cliff, but she got this one from her Secret Santa two years ago and loves it. I don't know if she just stares at them hoping to see them fall to their death or what, because she's a little off, if you get my drift.

I know this idea is sometimes criticized, but I like it. For those that dont... what's a better way to celebrate and memorialize the coming state championship? Certainly fine rum and cigars, I would like Canes Connection to offer the team a bronze Statue of Howard's pipe, engraved with the scores of our wins of Florida, FAMU, USF and of course FSU, but only if we finish the job. I like the season within the season, very soccer way of doing things.
