That guy glides to the football when it's in the air. He just "gets it".
Yeah I agree that not being a full-time starter hurt him but his production speaks for itself…He had 4 ints so must have been close. But he was only part-time, which hurt him. If those awards were given out this week, now that he has 6 interceptions including a game winner, he'd hear his name called.
Kid is only going to get better and better. Fitz is better than Ed was as a true freshman. Can he finish the next 2 years as strongly as Ed we will see? Safety U is back.He has a little Ed Reed in him in that he knows where to be around the ball a lot. If he can hit and be physical like he does playing centerfield then the sky is the limit.
I kind of felt the same way. He was obviously talented and had good instincts or he wouldn't even be in there, but some of those first int's were just some terrible throws. Still, he was putting himself in position to make the int and get a solid return.I thought a lot of his picks in the begining were mop up duty or just horrible throws that he took advantage of. His last few picks shut me the **** up. He is a ball hawk!!!!
I will knock on wood, but barring Injury, he may be the best DB/Safety to ever come out Miami.
He reminds me of Travis Hunter and Ed Reed. It’s like they can see the play in their heads and anticipate it like no other.
