Stanford’s back up QB reminded me of Emory.
I don’t know if Miami will beat the spread, but I think they could. Stanford is a bad team, traveling across country for a night game, missing key players. I would be surprised if they scored more than 14 points. MIami would have to score 44 or a bit more to cover. I think is possible if Beck returns to form after a bad outing versus Louisville.Okay, I'm just curious. To anyone saying we beat the spread, what have you seen this year to convince you that we will? I'm not saying we don't have the team for it, but I haven't seen anything indicating our coaches calling the plays will do anything to facilitate it. What makes you think we beat them by more than 30?
True, and there’s no benefit to running up 70 points against Bethune Cookman. Which Mario did in his first game as Miami head coach back in year one. Proved nothing.Mario has respect for Bethunes Cookmans coach or something of that sort & didn’t want to run up the score on them ..they might look to make a statement against Stanford Saturday
…..bench him for who, exactly? Emory fvkin Williams? Lol.
And I got ridiculed for even suggesting the importance of developing a high school quarterback, just for this exact scenario.…..bench him for who, exactly? Emory fvkin Williams? Lol.
Fired the other coach for being too mean or bullying people at Stanford. Luck is like the CEO there, so he probably called in a favor.Frank Reich is Stanford's interim Head Coach? How the F*** did that happen?
UL with a good coach in Brohm and a top 3 WR in Bell scores 24 but a depleted Stanford with the back up QB scores 23? LolI like my money morewe will likely win 38-23 or something. We won’t blow any power 5 teams out
Right before halftime. I turned it off, I just though there’s no way FSU couldn’t cobble together enough to beat them. For those who watched the game, when did Stanford's backup QB enter the fray?
The bigger question is why you think “P4” makes Stanford better than USF.In 33 opportunities against P4 teams since arriving at UM, Mario has not beaten a single opponent by 30 points. In 44 total games, he has beaten 9 (20%) teams by 30 or more.
The teams he has beaten by 30 or more are;
2022
Bethune Cookman
2023
Miami (OH)
Bethune Cookman
Temple
2024
FAMU
Ball State
South Florida
2025
Bethune Cookman
South Florida
Why anyone is questioning people who doubt we will beat Stanford by 30+ is baffling. It literally has never happened with a Mario team against a P4 opponent since arriving at UM, and has only happened 20% of the time period.
Exactly. All the emotional men in this thread jumping on Stanford reads like an easy cover. We cover bc the board thinks we won't.
