You gain 3 hours headed out there (assuming you're flying from the east coast).
It definitely can be done. Flight before 8:00 from MIA gets you to SFO before noon. Plenty of time to make a 6:00 local kick.

I don't like to travel on gamedays, but with this late kickoff and time difference I might try it. I'd most likely connect in SLC (Delta) which should be smooth.

Exact same thing happened to me back in 24 vs Cal but from Canaveral. I was still half drunk boarding the ship.

Said this a few times. It was my first takeaway when the schedule was released. We knew we were playing at Stanford, we didn't know when. When I saw Week 1, it was literally best case scenario, IMO. Fly out there Monday. You don't want to have to take this trip in the middle of the season. But Week 1, it's perfect. And now the game is at 9:00 Miami time, which is late but not the 10:45 we had for Cal. Even if you don't head out several days early, the body clock is much better versus what it could have been.
Genuinely best-case scenario for this game.
