I appreciate this.

Was in a separate convo, basically talking about how as Canes fans, all we ever wanted at QB was a "game manager" who could "distribute the football." We never really cared about athleticism at QB. That seems to have changed, and I'm really, really excited about the athletes both incoming and on the squad, and what recruiting them says about what the offense might look like.

What also is really exciting is COACHING at that position. It just seems like for years the qbs NEVER got better....system? Development? Filmmroom? All of above SHOULD really be improved which should show huge improvements VERY soon!

I'm old enough and wise enough to know the macho shiit will leave your wife a widow... in my bar days I saw men loose their life for being macho... or when they were lucky just fvcked up bad. I want to enjoy my retirement thanks.

Hahaha. Exactly. And while I'd never want to mess with some of the fine residents of Brighton Beach there is a slight difference that I've noticed between NY and South Florida.

In NY EVERYONE is a daily loudmouth so you very often see people screaming at each other and it never actually escalates to physical violence. It's just part of daily life.

In South Florida the jump from initial altercation to actual violence seems to be on a much shorter fuse. A lot of people here seem to have a ton of pent-up rage (or just machismo) that they'll unleash in a second if provoked but they don't necessarily go around like New Yorkers screaming in public or just being obnoxiously rude on a daily basis.

I've wondered about that

some guy I knew from philly once said if you flick someone off up there you better be ready to fight

seems like that's the situation here, people are ready to go at a moments notice
