For those of you claiming to have his best interests at heart, are you sure he's making a mistake? The team should be better next year, but that doesn't mean he will have a better season. In addition to his ability to fade into the background, there's the uncertainty about what the new staff will think of him. Maybe they'll decide that he shouldn't get as many touches as he did this year. He's only got one more year under Richt, I would argue staying is as much of a roll of the dice as going. And as for the "myth" of the combine, every year players get drafted higher than expected because they do well at the combine. If he can interview well and convince people he's not too injury prone, he'll do well in the draft.

The new staff will think the same we do....super talented. The team has NO depth at WR and he has all the potential in the world. The only way he wouldn't have a monster season is if he got hurt again. Otherwise, the cards seem to be stacked in his favor with a better offensive minded coach, a kid like Kayaa with another year under his belt, and another year in the weight room for Coley to get bigger/stronger, all while being the far and away #1 passing target.

If he goes pro, i see him drafted around the 4th/5th, similar to Diggs with the same concerns, unless he KILLS the combine. Diggs ran a 4.46 at the combine, so Stacy would need to do about the same or better.

Idk about that. Diggs did plenty. Especially compared to Coleys body of work. I have a feeling SC is going to have a injury riddled career where he barely touches the field. I loved Coley coming out of HS, just not the same kid he was then.

People complained saying how are we going to have a passing game with our top 3 receivers Duke, walford, Dorsett gone to the league but yet this year we did in fact have a better passing game. It will all workout. If he does declare more top receivers would be running to come because they know they would see the field early

In an NFL camp he'll get tough quick and make an immediate impact on Sundays as a rookie.

It's really amazing how dumb people can be. Tommy Streeter put up a substantially better season as a junior than Coley did. But I'm sure the NFL scouts will care a lot about his freshman season.

Streeter was a 1 year wonder with questionable hands and mediocre route running.....that is why he fell. But he did run a 4.4 at 6'5 219 pounds.....so that always helps keeping people interested.
