Stacy Coley also being investigated.....per Barry Jackson

I am amazed at the lack of accountability attitude towards what the players did to themselves-if they actually did it.Page after page of people blaming everyone but the players. The players possibly took benefits that they were not allowed to take.Like or not, they may be held accountable for their own actions. It is not the rental car company or the girlfriends fault. No one made them do it.It is the players fault 100% if they did what they are accused of.Hopefully they did not do it.We are on probation and any little thing could have the NCAA all over us.Really bad judgement on the players part if they are guilty.I know what goes on elsewhere but the circumstances are different here. The NCAA and many others do not want to see Miami on top again. Why give them any ammo?
Florida law disagrees with your idea that it's solely on amateur athletes in certain instances where a third party compromises an amateur athlete's eligibility. Pretty sure Stank Black was prosecuted under that law. Not positive on that though.

I could see where that could be true.It wouldn't be hard for someone to tempt the players and tell them that they are not breaking the rules. It also sucks that we are under a microscope and other teams get away with all sorts of violations. Our probation is over in October so hopefully nothing else will happen to jeapordize that.I feel bad for the kids if they were baited but at the same time they should have been educated on the rules by the staff. If the rental car company broke the law then I hope they get what they deserve.
The players knew they were doing wrong. So they gotta deal with their punishment.

Problem with these scumbag leeches who hang around players looking to capitalize on their future riches is that they tempt kids. And when you're an unsophisticated kid whose never had fancy cars it's easy to fall prey to that ****.

There are rules and regulations - like them or not -that players need to adhere too. Agreed that they have to deal with consequences as most of us do when we break whatever rules we need to follow at work, home etc. It is just part of life no matter the circumstances.

The people/businesses who were involved in facilitating this are the real issue- WTF is wrong with them??

Follow the freaking rules!

Let's hope these idiots who facilitated this don't cost us the season.

Why don't we suspend the guys for three games already? Then well have them cleared for the ACC matchups.

Maybe this opens the door for Mullins to get some playing time against FAMU and FAU.

The longer this drags on the more likely it seems like Coley, Grace, AQM won't be playing at all this season.

Dude chill... Porter just said

UM football has been prepared to be w/out Coley, AQM, Grace for 1-3 games BUT no determination made yet. Resolution expected soon.

He also said um coaches expect them to remain on the team too.

Why do you say that?

This is how I see it playing out:

Sometime between now and 9/3 UM will announce that the three are suspended indefinitely.
The case will then be handed over to the NCAA who will sit on it for as long as they want because they hate Miami.
Miami will be too afraid to reinstate them until they're 100% cleared.
This will drag on for another 35 years and we'll lose more scholarships.

You are looking at the worst case scenario. If they were going to kick them off the team they would have been did that

Ha! I'd call you a pessimist but I remember the last NCAA investigation too well...

They're preparing to be without those three players for an indeterminate amount of time. Period.

Could be 1 game, could be the whole season. We really don't know. Because I am a Canes fan and have seen the NCAA make an example of us several times, I'll continue to expect the worst.
