Stacy Coley also being investigated.....per Barry Jackson

What needs to happen in turn is for UM fans to publicly call out these people and call for UM fans to boycott their businesses.

LOL...ain't too many people in Miami paying those rates for exotics, so a boycott would be futile.

Problem is, we have too many big mouth, vindictive b!tches like Shapiro, & the triflin' *** ***** in this case.

Now come to think of it, when President Frenk addressed the team before practice yesterday, this is probably what Richt was alluding too when he said he essentially told the players to do things the right way...

I'd be shocked if they get anything more than 1 game. If in fact it was a "test drive" they won't get anything since there's no monetary value. If it was multiple trips then trouble is brewing but still they'd have to assign some kind of value to the benefit.

Thats been the difference between us and the SEC. Their bagmen would fall on the sword for their program in a heart beat and with honor.

To be honest these things should not be a violation. The N AA makes billions off of these kids but they can't even get a hook up.

I am amazed at the lack of accountability attitude towards what the players did to themselves-if they actually did it.Page after page of people blaming everyone but the players. The players possibly took benefits that they were not allowed to take.Like or not, they may be held accountable for their own actions. It is not the rental car company or the girlfriends fault. No one made them do it.It is the players fault 100% if they did what they are accused of.Hopefully they did not do it.We are on probation and any little thing could have the NCAA all over us.Really bad judgement on the players part if they are guilty.I know what goes on elsewhere but the circumstances are different here. The NCAA and many others do not want to see Miami on top again. Why give them any ammo?

Jesus Christ.

Gotta say, this SoBe luxury car dealer really knows how to pick 'em: the team's best DE, best WR, and best LB. Then liked the way Young looked with his shirt off. Hope we're talking about something silly like extended test drives for a high five. We need all these guys, and badly.

I'm cautiously optimistic, considering Grace, AQM and Coley have remained first-teamers. You have to think that Richt would be giving back-ups more first-team burn if he thought we'd have to play without these guys. Fingers crossed.

matt porter is saying they have been expecting Coley, AQM, and Grace to miss 1-3 for a while now. that UM is investigating...NCAA is not involved.

That's good news IMO, Brooklyndee came on last week saying it might be more than that for grace and richt said last week they were getting closer to the end of it. We are playing cupcakes for the first few weeks and it's a big chance they miss no more than 3 games that's good news. With 3 games being the worst case scenario. I was expecting grace to be out longer than that
3 games is now going to morph into fact as the worst case scenario?

Yeah, that's definitely not the worst case scenario. The worst case scenario is UM is more strict than the NCAA would have been because we don't want any more problems and these guys are suspended up to a yr. That is a worst case scenario.

This is important though
From Matt porter
Several staff members said they expect Coley, AQM, Grace to remain on the team. LB Juwon Young, also involved, suspended indefinitely
Another tweet from him
UM football has been prepared to be w/out Coley, AQM, Grace for 1-3 games BUT no determination made yet. Resolution expected soon.

I don't give a fck what Porter says. He's guessing. I hope he's right, but he's got no clue how long the suspensions will ultimately be.

Also, whatever the "expectation" may be, the fact that we just got through sanctions, I'm pretty sure we're still on probation, and that Richt is known for not putting up with any off the field bs, it all leads me to believe these suspensions will be worse than what they normally would be.

This is soooo f*cking stupid. We're talking about discounts on car rentals? But yet guys on other teams can commit felonies and still play ball without having to worry about any consequences.

Amazing that almost every top player besides Kaaya is implicated. Something seems shady

Florida law disagrees with your idea that it's solely on amateur athletes in certain instances where a third party compromises an amateur athlete's eligibility. Pretty sure Stank Black was prosecuted under that law. Not positive on that though.

who do these guys think they are??

what have you done for miami to bring on this kind of attention?

you're like the last child of the family who is a *** up, that did nothing to change it, while at the same time took pride in the *** up itself.

embarrassments

Our compliance chilli dog nerd needs to get the **** beat out of him. By a savage.

I could see where that could be true.It wouldn't be hard for someone to tempt the players and tell them that they are not breaking the rules. It also sucks that we are under a microscope and other teams get away with all sorts of violations. Our probation is over in October so hopefully nothing else will happen to jeapordize that.I feel bad for the kids if they were baited but at the same time they should have been educated on the rules by the staff. If the rental car company broke the law then I hope they get what they deserve.

the ban on benefits is ridiculous……i can destroy any argument otherwise to it's logical conclusion

theres nothing amateur about power 5 football or basketball, and accepting gifts don't destroy the integrity of the game, fabric of society, blah, blah, blah

when we were in college we referred to that bureaucracy as the National Coalition Against Athletes, I despise this entity and everything they think they believe in

your key word is logical. It's the NCAA. There has never been a correlation between the two...
