Yes we have squeaked out some wins and lost some squeakers and most here think that we should blow out everyone we play. It makes me wonder if they just watch us. Meanwhile the top teams are squeaking louder than the U. Cincinnati today with game day in their yard squeaked by a lame Tulsa team. Alabama squeaked by a lame lsu team that fired their coach. Clemson just survived against a mismanaged Louisville team. Every week college football parity is getting more and more obvious and we are on the upswing and many of the "desirable" coaches are struggling. I am not the least bit concerned if Diaz gets another year , especially since he has our kids playing Hurricane football. Full effort is all one can expect. We old timers get criticized for living in the past yet many do not realize that we were proud of our Canes in quite a few losses, losses that cost NC's but no one could deny that our Hurricanes played with passion and love for the game, something I am seeing in this team. All we've lacked lately is a leader like TVD and he is a freshmen who will even get better. Quit complaining and enjoy what we have going for us.

Now go ahead and tell me how horrible Diaz is...I won't listen. I do not want another cycle of rotating HC like a Fuente who was perfect fit for VT The grass is always greener on the other side. With the portal weak teams are getting players they never thought of when players were locked into their commitments, its a new era in college football. one of parity.

Diaz is horrible.
 
These games are close because this coaching staff is AWFUL. That's why most of us are frustrated. A competent staff has this team ready to play and they blow this GT team out. If Miami had a staff that paid attention to details and built a culture of accountability, this game would have been over by the end of the first quarter. Miami wins IN SPITE of their staff, not because of it.

I think he is saying that just look around, and the coaches people here are clamoring for, are out there losing games or playing tough close games.

Are you seriously using the fact that even the best teams in college football have close calls against lesser teams to justify our squeaker vs Georgia Tech? That's comical. You conveniently forgot to mention that under Diaz and staff we either barely squeak by or flat out lose to lesser teams on a routine basis. You also fail to mention that this team is sorely lacking in discipline, fundamentals and attention to detail. We look like a talented yet poorly coached team especially on defense where Diaz's recruiting and player development failures are on full display.

There are a handful of posters actively hoping we lose. The rest of us can see that this team, with better coaching and a disciplined defensive scheme, is 8-1 or 7-2 on cruise control to the ACCCG in a year we don't have to worry about Clemson. It was there for the taking and Manny **** the bed. Nobody is mad about winning, but those of us who understand this team has Top 15, maybe Top 10 talent, are beyond frustrated watching us scratch and claw our way to 3-point wins against teams we're capable of beating soundly every **** week. A close game against inferior talent happens every now and then but those types of games should be outliers; with Manny it's the norm.
