Spring Transfer Portal

@Ghandi I posted in D$'s thread on the Scrimmage last Saturday that Donno had a guy named Bruce Warner on his Locked on Canes podcast yesterday who explicitly called out the right side OL as being a problem. Meanwhile, he loved what Cohen and Lee were doing, So without saying names, he was clearly talking about Cooper and Mauigoa.

It feeds into my narrative that we're rushing an RF to start at OG and a TF to start at OT, which usually doesn't end well. I'll grant you I may be 100% wrong, I don't see the practices or scrimmages. But a supposedly knowledgeable guy who knows the program very well and has deep connections to the team just confirmed it. Believe him or no?

I just heard the Bruce Warner pod this morning with Alex Donno.

+ Rivers is what he is, but I think the coaches are willing to bet on Nelson coming back or Okunlola developing over the next 5-months. He’s going to have to compete for RG with everyone else if he loses the LT spot to Nelson/Okunlola. He’s right about that.
+ His assessment of the OL performance in general this spring is not accurate. It sounds like he is using the Spring game to say it’s a problem. No ****. It’s always a problem when you have 3rd and 4th team kids getting starter snaps.

I saw the OL kick some serious *** the day I was there in situational drills. Maybe…just maybe…the chemistry of the line was thrown off by having two substandard scrubs at the guard spots?

/Jesus Christ, he just keeps repeating the same **** in this podcast. Cohen at LT is not something that needs to happen.

****, haven’t heard Bruce Warner’s name in eons. That dude still around? He’s been around UM and recruiting for 30+ years.

Don’t be shocked if we push for a tackle. That allows Rivers to bump inside and have a swing guy. Same with Zion. The Ol would be as deep as I can remember if that was to happen.

**** Deion is going to have to strike absolute gold in the portal this spring or my prediction of 3 wins might even be a stretch. I know their fans will say "weeding out the garbage" or "cant hack it with real coaching" but this is just a numbers game now. They are getting thin on top of having limited talent.

You put Hunter and McClain out on Islands with their current Dline and guys like Riley and Lanning are getting tingly thinking about that game.
