Spring thoughts (offense)

The problem were running into now (not sure if you picked up on it yet D is with letting recruits watch sherriffs & Ryan Collins lil brother is they're getting worried about us moving forward. They need to see our offense isn't this regularly. Because it can become a double edged sword. Some may see the opportunity while others may be scared away because they feel we can't compete. All I'll say is a certain 2018 qb commit left this weekends scrimmage comparing us to other teams he's seen & talking a bunch of **** bout how the offense looked... let just hope most of our kids are leaders and not followers.

Bruh, if nick Saban can convince three 5* WRs to commit to him after that **** show last year and after Jalen Hurns almost singlehandlh killed Calvin Ridley draft stock not to mention having two other 5* WRs on bench as well..Richt should be able to tell these kids his hand picked successor ain't on campus yet and to trust him.

His handpicked successor is the one rallying the troops around what a ****show we are on offense...

I been repeating this **** non stop and why allison is third. These people don't want to know. It's like they're in denial. Reminds me of the golden tenure

Sounds like we need a new "hand-picked" successor.

Go on...
Alabama has an RB who can throw playing QB and they're landing WRs everywhere. Before him? A dude who transferred from FSU. FSU has had multiple periods of battling an unsettled QB situation. Ohio State has had a series of athletes who are passers second playing QB.

This is not an excuse for anything.

Make no excuse especially when comparing any of osu qb to our situation it really ain't close... ***** an excuse as I don't see where ur headed with this. Alabama is still bama that's their excuse & it works. We don't have that built in excuse right now. I'm simply telling you a fact about what our own recruits are starting to say based upon seeing these two at qb. It's slowly killing us. I'd certainly take Coker over any of these two also

What the **** is going on with these QB's at practice?

Are they seriously that bad?

YES... this is the problem with listening to these peoples & apologists on here. They dont know whats really going on & their opinions are irrelevant. Plenty of people have told yall how bad sherriffs & Malik are but yall refuse to listen. Neither of them will be near playing time come regular season but we gotta deal with them for now.

Maybe because I've seen Rosier play in an actual game, and he wasn't great, but he also wasn't anywhere nearly as awful as you make him seem in every one of your posts.

Kaaya was all-world in practices/scrimmages and then graded out as one of the worst QBs in the ACC last year.

Have you shared this information with the staff so they can address it with the recruits?

I think a lot of us get the feeling Richts offense is in fact dog ****. I'm just hoping we get crazy talent in here with a strong running game that can mask Richts inferior offense (compared to elite teams).

"Overall, I think we are in good shape except for the question mark at quarterback."

I would normally be tempted to make a snarky comment about this, but I'm actually pretty pleased. Obviously the QB situation is terrifying, but if the rest of the O looks good, I think this team can be real good.

Outside of Hightower, Dee has been wrong on pretty much everything he's said about recruiting, so I'm going with the opposite of whatever he claims, let's review what Dee has told us:

1. Devonta Smith was 100% coming here (he committed to Dee at dinner)
2. We're getting 6 or 7 IMG guys in the 18 class
3. Casey Thompson visited us twice since Sitkowski committed (yes he flew here from Oklahoma twice within the past 2 months, unnoticed of course) and was supposed to pick us.
4. Taron Vincent would end up selecting Miami.

I could go on, but what's the point. I put zero value into his Sitkowski claims

You think it was just a heat of the moment thing or is he legitimately going to sway the opinions of others we're after? From whats been put out there it seems like our class has a bunch of alphas that just want to be here.

Hope he tries to position himself as part of the solution to other recruits

It isn't just limited to recruiting. He came on here once and told us that CB Michael Jackson was so bad at practice and was being so much of a ***** that he wasn't gonna play that upcoming Saturday. Of course he actually did play.

Or the one about Jackson being switched to safety instead of Redwine and that Banda and Rumph flipped a coin to decide which one was going to make the switch. He'll probably come back and say he was joking about the coin flipping part. He was wrong about which player got switched though.

The Brad Kaaya low 5th round grade thing and he felt he was coming back was another one.

So all the talk of "we're" not gonna have to deal with Shirreffs or Rosier in the fall holds little weight. He's talking about watching these two practice so we're all uninformed but called it a Perry vs Allison battle when Perry hasn't set foot on campus yet and Richt won't even call Allison the unchallenged #3

outstanding work. thank you, D$

on the QB's, I was at the scrimmage and sat with the parents of two players, and they said this as we watched the QB play:

the coaches really like evan and think he is mentally off the charts when it comes to absorption and understanding of what the offense needs to do. he has great leadership skills and the kids on offense will really rally around him. athletically, he is, like you said, very underrated and can move not only in the pocket but downhill as well. His demeanor and decisionmaking are impressive. but, as you said some of the easy throws end up in the dirt and it's due in part to the fact his hand still bothers him. the injury from last year is still a drag on him, but they do expect it will get better over the next few months. when his hand is not a factor, he can grip and rip and that's when you see the ball on the money. not unlike a person with arthritis who sometimes loses muscular control. he works through it, and you will see a lot more consistent accuracy.

1) Then why is he not wearing a glove if he need more grip?

2) @ D$.. since when was Linder "more help" (-_-")

3) Herbert or Gaynor needs to end Darlings career.

4) Sigh.. we took in a jag because he went to LSU.. My fear has been realized should of knew something was up when LSU ain't even try to keep em like Saban did M.Smith

5) Wait.. the O-line is playing good in real life and not just in my NCAA football dynasty? ****. we might actually win 10 games... thank goodness.

I for one learned you're the truth after the Mark Pope commitment.

I agree. It's bizarre to me that someone who claims to be a former player just straight up trashes so many guys on the team. And if he is talking **** about our offense to Hightower, Sitkowski, and the other IMG kids, hopefully the coaches find out and never let him around the program again.
