But please guys don't forget about Weldon who was considered the true DT QB.
He'll never play, Richt wouldn't even let em' play in the 1st scrimmage last year and He was an EE. Career 3rd stringer.
Perry will start
Williams will redshirt
Next year is all about Perry.
Rosier - nowhere near as talented
Sheriffs - should be a transfer candidate
Weldon - behind him on depth chart
Williams - a true freshman, albeit an EE.
If Perry can't beat out that crew next year, he's prolly not the guy.
Williams arriving early is huge, especially if he comes in better prepared than Perry did. I look for a darn good battle, with Williams earning Richt's trust faster than Perry did. It'll be a heck of a battle, and I won't be shocked if Williams wins the job. Not that Perry isn't super talented, but that Williams, to me, looks better prepared coming in.
Weldon may have some talent, but getting caught hitting the wacky pipe isn’t helping his cause or leadership
If Perry isn't good enough to win this gig, then we might be in trouble unless Williams is a phenom. Williams looks like an excellent prospect, and all-star games aren't a great way to judge players, but he didn't jump out at me in that game. The young QB going to USC, on the other hand, did.
We need a dynamic QB to emerge. That's for sure. When's the last time we had a QB that we won because of and not in spite of?

Barton Simmons was very high on Williams after his performance overall. I thought He outplayed Trevor Lawrence once again too in that game.
This is what he postede
“But there’s more potential first-year starters at quarterback in this game. Jarren Williams, a Miami commit that is enrolling early, will have an opportunity to compete for Mark Richt. He was outstanding in San Antonio and very consistent. I expect Williams and 2017 signee N'Kosi Perry to make a legitimate run at Malik Rosier's job.”
I'm going to put this as gently as I can.
If Perry can't beat out Rosier this off season....he's never going to amount to ****. His path to being the starter could not be any clearer.

Yup. Amazing 2-10 teams like UNC have 3rd string freshman QBs that so far are light years better than anything we have. If Perry aint ready in '18, he's a bust. Has to be the easiest QB slot in the country. Anyone who is half *** can waltz in and start for their career.

Maybe not. I just think he was WAY behind in terms of knowing how to watch film, progress reads, read a D, etc. Wayyyy behind. I wouldn't be shocked if it takes him more than one season to win the job. He's athletically ahead of everyone, but he has a lot of work to do to catch up on the mental aspect. When he does, look the **** out. He will be a good one.
I said it when he signed and I'll say it again. I hope everyone is patient with him and doesn't turn on him when he doesn't win the job as soon as everyone wants/expects. He has the talent, but sometimes that talent takes time to develop. With him and Williams pushing each other, great days are ahead. Just be patient.
If Rosier is starting next season I will be seriously disappointed.

Franchise is basically a troll at this point.
Every Miami guy sucks and every non-Miami guy is awesome according to him
