Spring Spring Practise #9

Leave the Irish fella alone. It's superb QB/WR play making him look bad.

O’Connor ain’t it.

We have a problem if one or two of the 6 corners we have signed in the last two cycles haven’t overtaken his 4th corner spot by the end of the year.

Don’t really know how anyone could put him over or at the same level as the trio from STA/AH.
He was better than Lucas a lot of the time. He locked up Tate who might go top 5. OJ is the clear #1. Afterwards it's open IMO. I'm hoping Slime shows something and takes that #2 spot.

If O'Connor is anything higher than CB4, I'm going to have MAJOR questions for the defensive coaches. I know that Damari and OJ were banged up, but kid got his confidence broken in the title game and clearly hasn't rebounded.
It is practice. Last spring we heard about JoJo and Lofton were going to crush it.. Just chill…

Keionte Scott would like a word. Pull the tape. It was terrible effort by Lucas. Perhaps he was confused or whatever. Very bad play.
If you are back peddling and Smith opens you out of your stance and you don’t put hands on him he will run by you idc how fast your db 40 is. Thats why he’s a top 5 talent. I was upset at X as well but understood that’s JS that’s why everyone wanted him. He would do that to nfl guys. X got beat it happens, he’s not Revis.

Everyone does get beat. It was poor effort, pull the tape. Here's the problem, people love to bash Ethan for being in great spots and just not being big enough to make a play, same people totally overlook Lucas looking lost and giving poor effort. Don't just be one sided here. Both these players aren't perfect, but Ethan is always out there fighting. Ethan was the best CB against Ohio State not named Agent 0.

This is fair I think what happened was that Lucas knew he wasn’t catching him after he got beat. He was lucky (I think it was O’Connor) that saved him and got to JS. It’s no excuse though his chase down effort was bad. He’s still a good player though. The minute we got him back for the natty it helped the defense a bunch. It was a different game with him in there.

Also people would hate O’Connor if the refs called PI on the last play vs ole miss and they could have called it. He was grabbing a bunch in the playoffs

Hard disagree.

Also, on that play that everyone is talking about Lucas got burned on; O’Connor is at fault as well —maybe even more than Lucas tbh however I’m no expert on the coverages.

O’Connor takes a terrible path to centerfield; crucially, he makes a few steps vertical instead of diagonally after this screenshot. That made all the difference.

He then proceeded to slow himself down by looking up and backwards too soon. Guy does not have awareness necessary.

This exactly is why the board is so frustrating. Lucas get beaten badly and your trying to blame Ethan whos playing Tate on the other side lol
