Spring Spring Practise #9

It's not a penalty if they don't call it lol
The refs were surprising that they let us play. Next season they will look for that with him because we are in the spotlight now. So I expect them to target him cause in the off season they watched a bunch of playoff highlights. So he needs to work on that
Likely for sure

Feel I’m on very good ground here 🤷🏽‍♂️

Damari & OJ + Lucas >> O’Connor. O’Connor has more in common with the other STA/AH Miami dbs: Daryl Porter Jr, Jaden Davis and Chaminade’s Te’Cory Couch too. & none of the latter 3 + O’Connor are as good as Corn Elder.

A healthy damari for me is the best in that room. At the very least he's on the same page as oj & Lucas. That's being generous to them. Damari being healthy makes this secondary ELITE and allows the line time to develope.

Damari healthy is just as talented if not more than our two starters. His health is ALWAYS his issue. Hopefully slime and the boys we brought in this year stay healthy. We got LEGIT depth there now

My concern with X is if he stays MENTALLY locked in. You see it clear as day with him like we used to see it with champ. He's so good that teams don't throw at him often and when long periods of time pass like that he's prone to slip mentally with his effort level. I'll still take a healthy damari over just about anyone. His length and physicality you can't match at corner. Would love a healthy two deep of Oj/XL & Damari & slime. I'll still never forgive O'Connor. I'm good on him. We got at least 5 others right now I put in front of him.

Maybe we just have a very different take on what occurred. None of that was on Becker. That was entirely on O'Connor and his lack of physicality & awareness. Can blame heatherman and his position coach for allowing him to bail pre snap all throughout the season. But him not making plays on two poorly thrown balls on long 4th down conversions was basic as can be.

Y’all make me sick. O’Connor played as good as any of the other CBs the entire season and y’all ready to throw him out cause of a first down catch and/or a dropped INT.
He was a dawg against OSU, everyone celebrated him.

And then... typical. They build you up and then destroy.

This exactly is why the board is so frustrating. Lucas get beaten badly and your trying to blame Ethan whos playing Tate on the other side lol
Or you can actually engage in the substance of what i just wrote. If O’Connor was supposed to stay on the outer thirds, he would’ve done that but he didn’t.

What route in the route tree is Tate going to go from the right side to the middle of the field then back to the right side Lmao?!?

Look at Sayin’s body and eyes/ O’ Connor is in no man’s land. There are 9 offensive players in the offensive box so to speak; and Scott is there to takeaway the checkdown / bailout to the TE after his chip block.

Only two WRs on the field bro. Fitzgerald (or whoever that safety is) takes Tate and nothing O’Connor did indicates he was sticking Tate man to man. LOOK AT HIS STEPS

Yall mfs say anything. Somehow this is O’Connor “taking away Tate,” :roll-canes2:

Lucas could also just do his job. But hey let's ignore the player getting beat and blame Mike Irvin on the sidelines

Lmfao! Again ignoring the substance. O’CONNOR’s JOB WAS TO STAY COVERING GRASS THEN HUH

This isn’t tennis; not no 1on1 game……the defense is single entity of 11.

Blame Michael Irvin on the sidelines? wtf are you talking about.

Yall must Not like football i get it….Cis is frustrating because someone told you that just because someone lines up presnap opposite of a wr doesn’t mean they have full responsibility of preventing a completion from just that WR……….you bums really tried to act like O’Connor was covering Tate when he let him go :roll-canes2:

CIS in Springtime baby. Based on a couple of tweets and game recaps where the defense dominated, our corners suck. Never change guys.

@Brooklyndee

Damari is my fave as well, dude is good. To get a catch on him you really have to work and the QB has to throw a dot. He has always been under appreciated here.

CIS getting into season form !! I love it !!!

Back to …

Over reactions to a nonexistent depth chart.

Speculations as to why players are not seen at practice.

Finger pointing at coaches and players.

THIS is what the people pay to see! Lol

Tried to tell them, but ….its called hating for some reason.
Listen, I get the "don't hate on him" replies a lot of the time on this board, but in the case of this guy, it was fairly obvious from the beginning that Judd the Pudd was not Judd the Studd and that at best he was a project with a ceiliing of being QB2. While he may have improved from when he first enrolled to today, reading "he needs to get more accurate" as he enters Year 3 of his time here pretty much shows clearly that he ain't it. If that makes me a hater, F it....I'll share that Uber with you. HeII, I've been pretty consistent in saying he was a statuesque trash can who belonged on the hardwood grabbing rebounds more than spending time trying to learn the most important position on the field.

Speaking the truth doesn't make someone a hater. Tbh, I don't give a F if people call me a hater. One of the greatest gifts of getting older is caring little to none about the thoughts and comments of others.

I dont get how we (myself included it happens) get offended for people at times. Everyone has an opinion it is what it is. It seems like people get offended, or thats how it reads when you read it. Idk if thats the case most of the time. Thats why I tell my kids call people or talk face to face cause you can read something and it be worse reading it then hearing it.
