Official Spring PractiSe #6 (including Scrimmage #1): Saturday 3-25-2023

I won't call you crazy, but I will accuse you of reading David Lake's 247 article from just five hours ago on his projected two-deep and regurgitating his opinion from, again, today, as your own.

Tbh I think it’s too early to say anything for sure. I was told they’re being VERY careful with him. I don’t like speaking on injuries. I’ll just say it would be a nice surprise if he plays much next year. Don and Parrish must stay healthy and of course adding a portal rb
From everything I've seen it seems we're approaching him with kid gloves UNLESS there's no options(which we should have). Seems to simply be a matter of why not be anything but cautious with the kid we view as the bell cow over the next several years. His future is too important to rush him back in. Mario has always been patient like that. As a kid (especially an underclassmen)I'd appreciate that.

Ahh yes the former player on this site agreed with me but I have no clue what I’m talking about! 🤣

You’re legitimately the most condescending dude on this site and it cracks me the **** up like your **** doesn’t stink
Far as the agreeing part it's yes and no. There's been quite a bit of change. Roles have been greatly adapted. With I'd imagine more on the way. But that is a process and Mario can only be so hands on with that. That's more on Rad and the administration than it is on Mario. Just like with every other part of the athletics programs we're over going drastic changes and we gotta understand it's a process. Give it a lil time to work some things out.

Chaney hasn't been able to stay healthy and citizen is coming of a significant injury..it's really just process of elimination.
If Parrish has to be the featured back again we better PRAY Dawson can get the most out of these recievers. No shade at Parrish. He's a good back. But he is what he is. No threat in him at all. He simply best case scenario moves the chains, that's also the type of back who sustains ALOT of damage himself as we saw last year.

Agree.

Parrish is a nice player and has a niche / role but he can’t be the lead guy. By midseason he was wore down to nothing and finally broke. As of today I won’t even put Citizen in the depth conversation but we’ll add a quality rb via the portal to go with DC, Parrish and Fletcher. But Don has to stay healthy.

They shouldn’t even be letting Don or Parrish get hit in the Spring honestly. F all that Mario Bro Physical ****. We can’t lose them to injury

I'm actually a fan of Parrish, I think he's a capable starting RB who was productive last year despite a poor OL and no passing threat.

Welp on that last line.

I agree with all that. The big question is, can we get a #1 type back from the portal knowing he's going to have to share the load with Cheney and Parrish and even Fletcher to a degree, more as the season wears on? Obviously, this assumes they stay healthy. But right now they all are, and now (over the next 3 months) is when decisions need to be made by portalers.

I've learned not to get too wrapped up in the day-to-day stuff that occurs during the offseason. More bad than good will generally come from it.
