Thank you for your thoughts but I was interested in the TE turning his back to the QB. The NFL TEs kill LBs by becoming "open" when they turn facing the QB and to use a basketball term "post-up" on quick passes...........is the turn with the back to the QB intended to fool the defense and the TE becomes "open" only after he runs several yards outside?
I don’t think any of us can answer that question because we have no clue what they’re working on. But there’s a coaching clinic this weekend lol pull up. Mario said they’ll be there until midnight answering questions

Can someone explain why we have a TE turning his back to the QB on a 4 yard route?
its a T route...Planting the food or foot (whichever) and bursting away lets you get back to speed faster. It's a man beating concept.

Turning and facing the QB slows down the route (which that pivot would be used in a zone situation to "sit" in the zone and not run into the next one.
