George flashed a bit in Lashlees offense. Hes got a nice size/speed combo and he did some damage in the open field.

Last year was basically a wash for everyone.

Intrigued to see him in Dawsons offense he may not be a dominant WR1 type but he’s not a JAG either. People forget he was a highly coveted recruit
He knows how to get open and probably has the best hands on the team. If he can keep his head on right and make it to all his classes (that's what got him in trouble last year and at Plantation) he'll be a solid contributor at minimum. He's been pretty decent as a punt return guy too.

All he lacked at any point was mass/strength. He went down on first contact too much. But good hands, route running, and decent speed. Gaining 12 pounds from last year is BIG news on the positive front for him.
Yeah I think coming out IIRC it was his physical size that was really the only question mark? He’s getting to that point now where hopefully it all comes together

That’s good to know! There’s been a lot of talk about him but it’s tough to really know what to believe

Can someone explain why we have a TE turning his back to the QB on a 4 yard route?
It looks like a "return" route, to scheme the TE open. Air Raid systems run a ton of "mesh" and "shallow" (TE runs a shallow route and the slot WR on the other side of the formation, runs a 10yd Dig going the opposite way across the field. If the LBs drop deep, he hits the TE underneath, if the LBs come up and sits on the shallow, the QB hits the dig, behind the LBs). On the mesh plays the TE sets the depth of the mesh (climbs to 6yds). Also included within those two concepts is a "return". Where the Y goes like he's running a shallow or mesh, only to get to a point, turn and run the opposite way. It screws up man to man coverages, ESPECIALLY if the guy covering him peeks at the QB to try and get a jump on what he thinks will be an easy int. Remember those EASY TDs the Chiefs scored in the Superbowl when they brought guys in motion then at the snap of the ball, they turned and went out to the flats for easy TDs? Similar thought here, to ***** with the man coverage....except he's (TE) not going in motion, here.

Thank you for your thoughts but I was interested in the TE turning his back to the QB. The NFL TEs kill LBs by becoming "open" when they turn facing the QB and to use a basketball term "post-up" on quick passes...........is the turn with the back to the QB intended to fool the defense and the TE becomes "open" only after he runs several yards outside?
