Interesting way of looking at it. Maybe you're right. I never said I didn't want the kid to start this season eventually. Just burns me up we can't get through week 1 of Spring ball with a returning tackles not ceding the first team spot to a true freshmen.

Hopefully more than a handful. 2 WR, 1 OT, 1 NG, 2 DBs, 1 OLB. That's 7, not counting QB or RB, where I don't expect we'll be able to find someone good enough to come given current roster.

Do we know if Rivers is a All Conference type tackle? Because I think he's shown he can be that at guard. Mirabal's going to rotate anyone he can across the positions during practice. Question is what position is he naturally best at. I would say guard unless proven otherwise.

@rok I tried to DM you but couldn't. Hope you know I was joking in my quote and reply back to you. I 100% agree with you that Bobby is a specimen. Not sure I see him in the back 5 even if he's fast enough. Doubt a guy that big has hips to do more than in-box work. But can't argue with "get a look".

Anyway, if this is the same rokulika, you and the boys used to call me Canedong when I was Canekong on Canestime, which I always found humorous. So I hope I didn't offend.

Sorry, but you cannot possibly blame Phillips for UNC. that was 100% on Manny. He made them pinch in regardless of what UNC was doing. In general, when Phillips or Roche were being washed out, it was almost always due to a misuse of personnel on Manny's part.

The portal was good last year for us especially in such a short time. It should be good for us again in a few weeks with everything a bit more stable than last year

We missed on a few WRs that I know of however I really don’t know how much interest there truly was with some of them. Mario landed some great recruits and some good portal guys in a short time so I expect good news before summer again

Wouldn't mind keeping Mamarreli, Flagg and couch for depth, but the rest probably shouldn't have been given scholarships here.

Good is not the word that comes to mind. DL had a good influx. Not sure where else other than Parrish.

Yeah it’s why I added in a short period of time adding in all the factors. So relatively speaking, at least to me. Manny did well in the portal but was horrible at closing on the recruiting class where Mario landed our top talents there. So for this purpose just kinda adding all the factors together.

I expect with more time and roster development we will see better results than we saw last year. Felt like a lot of it was like holy **** we need an entire new team.

If that makes any sense.

At least 2 years away from being competitive. If this is the foundation class we are likely headed in the right direction, but we need another major influx or 2. Especially at the skill positions.

Pretty rough when the portal gave us arguably our two most productive defenders (outside of Kam) in Jackson and Mesidor, and maybe our two most productive offensive guys in Parrish and Young (however you want to categorize him) outside of Mallory (which him being so vital to us last year is horrifying)

It’s like relatively speaking it was “good” but ****….we gotta just be better in every way
