If I remember correctly, Medearis was on both of those teams. He played from 1980-1997.

They ran trap and kicked out Sapp. Sapp went around it instead of wrong arming and that's what a trap loves, to go wide vs it instead of under it. Did the G's job for him
Can't blame Sapp...he was literally playing 3 positions....for 3 quarters, the most dominating performance by a DT in UM History...he was flinging Frazier and Berringer (RIP) like Rag dolls

I couldnt understand how some failed weed test "allegations" had him fall in the draft after that performance alone. Its amazing how times have changed. Scouts nowadays would have ****ed on those weed tests and he would have been far and away the #1 pick. Contract signed before the draft and all.
