Official Spring PractiSe #2 - Tuesday 3/7

Straight line speed is not very important for the safety position.
He played some strong safety in HS if I'm not mistaken.

I just heard that Terry Roberts is getting a look at safety. Can anyone confirm?

I just think Cooper would have to come out and look like the 2nd coming of Vernon Carey at OG to get Mario/Mirabel to not have Rivers-Lee-Cohen in the middle of that OL. That is ACC title caliber right there. You cant ask for better than that. Now of course, this depends on Zion being ready to go at OT.

The Don has to step up this Spring. We need him to have a STRONG Spring camp for us. We need to go into the Summer with complete confidence that he can be the workhouse while Parrish is his sidekick. Either way, was definitely good to see him running with the 1s.

Zion is an enigma. He's missed almost a year and half. You're also sleeping on Cooper. Kid was our best lineman late last year. I believe the inside three are pretty well set. Cohen, Lee, and Cooper. Rivers has a lot of experience so he'll play one of the tackle spots. McCoy has size which Mario loves. CIS is going to CIS with always crowning freshman before they play a down. I'm excited about both our freshman tackles, but I don't see either of them starting at the beginning of the year.

@cway313 give me your starting five since you disagree with my post.
@cway313 Center is always going to be this guy:

hold up man....

pi$$ is a censored word here now?

Hoyles book of rules states that if the word is used as part of a well-known phrase, common to the people of the South, then the word shall not be considered as a singular - but as a necessary part of an acceptable phraseology. (Hoyles, 2002, Edition 37, pp 128)

Love the emphasis on the QB's "getting the ball out quick". Watching TVD, he's always been accurate, but his release looks a bit slow imo. Maybe this has been a drill that Lashlee had them doing in years past, but i don't remember seeing them drill this in the past. Like Chris Matthews stated so eloquently "I felt this thrill going up my leg" when i saw it.

At least be honest. Paying large sums of money is a little more than watching. I could do that on TV. They ASKED for fans to COME, to SHOW UP. I flew a family of four down. Thats flight, hotel, tickets and parking. **** it. Dont win but at LEAST i feel i am owed a competitive ******* team. We can agree to disagree. But i think the coach would agree, they OWE it to the fans to not do what they did. (Get raped, quit, lat down) I can find quotes of coaches saying that if you like.
Well, if the coach goes out and tells stupid fans (not you, I respect you for doing what you did) that the team does not owe them anything, the customers will leave the support immediately.

I stay up until 5 am in the morning at times to watch this team lose. Coach Cristobal and this team do not owe me ****. Its my choice to do it, its my choice to pay the subscription, watch the game, listen to the annoying repetitive ACC Network music during commercial break, etc.

I'm ruining my sleep rhythm and my Sunday at times to watch this team play and I don't feel entitled to anything. No one should feel any sort of entitlement being a fan. You're a fan, not the ******* president.

I like seeing McCoy being out there in the mix

The kid has had underrated potential. IIRC Lance had him quite high in his recruiting rankings from that class just felt like it would take some time

I thought for the position he was thrown into against Pitt last year he played pretty well. I remember him getting beat badly and everyone losing their ****, but it was like our 3rd or 4th LT of the season in a game where we had to just throw the ball at will (which we can’t) going up against one of the best coached DLs in the country

If you have the stomach to rewatch the end of that game when McCoy was in, he actually had a lot of good plays and I think he was still a year away from being really ready especially with how our OL looked at the time

He won’t start I don’t think but lord knows we need the depth
