😂 I don't have the luxury to be able to see practice, but I don't remember Ivey being in danger to losing his position no matter who was the coach here, to any of the individuals starting today during practice or during the season. It's just 1 practice though hopefully Brown can lock one spot down.

If you really wanna be a football nerd you can go back and break down the tape. Ivey was the victim of poor safety coverage often. Im not saying he’s always right or a world beater or mistake free, but he took the blame for a lot of what were coverage busts from our safeties over top.

His metrics are great and NFL coaches will see potential in him. He a had a real good pro day.

They both do, but Guidry is also the DC so he has to worry about the totality of the Defense as a whole.

Addae has Coached Safeties for most of his career, except for 1 year at West VA.

Two years in a row he was the main point person on our 2 biggest targets (Shemar, Cormani) that we didn’t land. Not entirely his fault but it’s fair to ask why is he so overvalued by the fan base.

I don't get how the onus for recruiting falls on a grad assistant. We have two DB coaches Addae and Guidry that will deserve far more blame.

Yea he probably should leave soon to get some experience on his own

I dont believe the onus falls on him. He nearly landed Cormani last year and if it wasnt for a hold in graduation and NIL, we land him. When you do that, fans will generally elevate that individual in terms of recruiting. My issue with DVD is that he appears to be in line to be our CB coach and he isnt qualified. I think somehow recruiting got conflated with coaching in regards to DVD. The issue here is that our CBs dont improve and develop. I dont blame DVD as much as the program not finding someone more qualified. Our CBs just never get better.
