Spring game on campus now?

This might be a contrarian take, but I like the move. Keep it on campus and keep it contained. There's a lot of offseason hype this year that's been exacerbated by a lot of different factors (the Cam Ward saga) and in an NIL landscape, it could turn into an autograph/interview-fest at other locations. Let's keep it focused and closed off so we can head to the Swamp with a "locked in" mentality.

Mario knows he’s gotta win 10 this season. Anyone complaining about the culture can’t get mad when they are trying to foster it and keep it tight knit.

Also, Hurricane Club members can buy tickets, so they don’t want your broke a** anyway! You’ll show up when they start winning regardlsss.

What are the details?

….Miami shouldn’t be making it any more difficult to be a fan…
Are you guys aware we do a spring game every year on campus? Spring game first and foremost is done as a way to show off campus to recruits & their families. Campus has alot going on right now that families need to see. Not fans. Where's Iverson when you need him?

I usually agree with your takes but not when it comes to fan support. This isnt intramural sports, college football is now a business and as such they need customers (regardless of if a lot of them are idiots). Big events should not be focused only on recruits, its an opportunity to reach your end user and gain more interest in the product.

Cant treat fans like an unwanted nuisance then turn around and ask the same people to support the team when its convenient to you.

Honest question... how many spring games have you been to? I have gone to one when it was at Traz years and years ago when I was a student. It was an okay atmosphere, glad I went, wont go out of my way to go again however. Nice to see the team, few diehards there and mainly recruits and HS kids. So I get what you are saying, I do. But a lot of the fans do not show up for games, they def do not show up for spring games. Most people coming out are locals as for sure most fans are not flying in for it.

If we have a lot of cool ish going on on campus right now then it makes sense to do it there. I would rather that and we roll out bleachers to fill 3-5k fans that having it at hardrock and the place looking miserably empty with those same roughly 5k in fans.
