....Shannon only got four years while producing better results on the field.

The only difference is that Randy Shannon didn't have to follow Randy Shannon. He made his own mess.

I'm way past disappointed with this staff. But in fairness Randy, who I admire as a player and DC, did not inherit the mess that Golden did. And when he left, he did not leave the talent that Golden will.

That article is as good as it gets for the UM fans who want Golden gone. Facts plus former UM greats openly killing Golden in major media outlets equals super effective.

I'd love to see the race angle start to get some traction with the way Shannon only got four years while producing better results on the field. That's the sort of stuff that gets politicians and administrators scared.

LOL

you'd like to see the race angle get some traction...........

and that is the crux of this whole thing. We should be winning with this talent.

Truth.

True. Then, Shannon would have had Ted Bridgewater and a much better defense the last four years. So the results still would have been better.

Eh, the revisionist history is starting to get a little deep around here. Shannon's fourth year was an abomination. And Al's is looking like it might turn out the same way. But let's not pretend that Shannon was accomplishing something. As he got his own guys in here, the program got worse.
Follow along, and don't get emotional. Shannon was putrid. Golden is producing worse results on the field. You think that means anyone thinks Shannon did a good job, or do you think it means compared to the bottom of the barrel Al still fails?

Al's like a 325 pound chick in a g-string bikini standing next to a 315 pound chick (Shannon) in one of those one pieces with the little skirt that at least tries to hide some ripples.

Some of these dudes are so beat down they want to gum a HC up for failing worse with better talent. They think it's admirable to fail but leave better talent for the next guy.

Golden played not to lose which is a loser mentality and doesn't belong at Miami. Petrino went for it on 4th down on his own 22 in the 2nd quarter. Al would never make that call even against a team like Fl A&M. We saw the same exact game plan against Florida last year. Al gets scared in big games and tries not to get blown out by putting together a game plan to limit mistakes. We got lucky FL just kept turning the ball over last year bc we should have lost that game and we all know how bad UF was last year.

What did we have to lose by opening it up after we go down 21-13? At that point you cannot keep hammering on the game plan that is being stuffed.

The writing is on the wall. Al either let's his guard down and let's the players play or he keeps his Penn State ***** mentality and keeps losing to less talented teams on the reg.

I hate that play not to lose and bend but don't break mentality,it's not the University of Miami type of football. I was shocked when they went for it on their own 22 yard line,we make Petrino look like Jimmy Johnson! Eric ****erson couldn't run against that front the Cards played Monday night .Then we still ran the ball 6 times in row, wtf!

Who thinks Golden's ****ery with Penn State gives him less leeway with the administration? If he didn't try to leave like that, maybe he doesn't get fired if he goes 8-4. But......

I don't think Teddy would have come even if Shannon stayed. He had one foot out the door. That last season was a train wreck in recruiting and on the field. Its easy to see the similar outcome this year but hopefully with a better class in place for the next guy.

I mentioned that the other day, think it was in the WEZ though. I think without making that move Golden was here this year and next year before getting fired. I think he had the administration mostly behind him because of the way he navigated The CLOUD. But I think he made a very bad move there. He bruised some egos, which is never a smart move. It didnt work out for us perfectly, but I think the PSU thing was actually good for us. It sped up the process a little bit.

Just me throwing **** against the wall though.

No they don't. No one is giving either one of those guys credit for anything. They both stink. Quit trying to stir sht up. Never in Miami history have we all been on the same page like this about a coach.

The dumbest thing today is asking "what would Randy have done?" Who gives a sht. He did nothing and got fired. So we might have a better defense. Out-f'ing-standing. He still went 7-5 when it was 100% his show.

Al Folden has ruined my beloved Canes and made me hate football.

I will be not watching this team until he's gone.

F*CK YOU GOLDEN.

It's exactly the same ****** situation as with Shannon. I can't for the life of me hope we lose so we can get rid of our coach, but it's what we need. ******* terrible.

I don't entirely disagree, but Canes football has been destroyed since about 2005. While Golden certainly isn't making it any better, he's not the one who ran the car into the ditch.

He did climb out while it was going up in flames and paused long enough to drop a hot, steamy deuce on the windshield for good measure.

The Hurricanes have*been playing football since 1926, and never before --- in terms of margin of*defeat --- have they been engulfed in a tailspin*quite like the one they’re mired in now: Five losses in their past seven games, all five by 18 points or more.
