Spoke with someone on the BOT...

Went to a lunch this afternoon with some partners and other white collar blue haired types. Got to talking to this one gentleman, who I'll obviously not disclose, who apparently is a member on the BOT.

Naturally, being the inquisitive 'Canes fan that I am, I goaded him about the recent goings on and about what the plan was moving forward. He told me that one of the biggest motivating factors behind the midseason firing was the fan outcry. Obviously, he mentioned the banners, but he actually told me that emails directly to board members were the most effective means of communicating fan dissatisfaction. He actually mentioned Stuart Miller by name. Using his word, he said that Stuart Miller was "overwhelmed" by the amount of email he got about firing Golden and that it played a factor in his decision.

Anyway, just passing it along. Food for thought as we all debate who the next head coach should (or shouldn't) be....

Every single person on this board needs to send Miller an email if we don't want to get stuck with Mario/Chud/Schiano

Tano's information is legit and we must move quickly if we don't want to get ****ed.

I just sent him this email:

Mr Miller,

The U was right in ridding us of Al Golden's incompetence. Thank you for your efforts.

However, recent rumors posted on CanesInSight.com (the defacto Canes fan forum) have the BOT strongly considering the likes of Mario "Benedict Arnold" Cristobal, Schiano, and retaining members of Golden's failed staff.

In case you have forgotten, Mario failed miserably at FIU, and was fired.

Schiano, a competent DC, was mediocre at Rutgers.

Golden's entire staff should have been fired, along with Golden.

There are several good coaches available, around the country.

Butch Davis is under our very nose. He was completely exonerated from the problems at UNC. He built, for us, the greatest college football team in history.

I, and other loyal Canes fans, are completely befuddled why Butch has not yet been hired.

Hopefully, this injustice will be soon rectified, and we can return to winning national championships, instead of being a national laughingstock.
