If there's one area for us to improve, it's the blocking on punts. I think Feagles and Spicer are rushing their punts because they feel the pressure nearly every punt.

I agree. Spicers second punt would have been blocked if Feagles was back there and his slow *** delivery. Hartley needs to do something about the splits with our alignment. People are running free at our punter each time.
 
Small sample size but punting team still looked awful. Punters are terrible but the blocking has not been great either. NC has good return guys but the ST coverage didn't look good either. There were several times they were within inches of breaking huge runs. Love Hartley but we really need to step it up on ST.

Hartley is terrible ST coach. Good recruiter but somebody else should take over Specials

Whatever happened to the old school punt formation like in madden???

It may take time to get Feagles' mind right, but better blocking can be done now and would certainly help.

Not sure. I don’t pay much attention to how teams line up for special teams. Hartley should study Va Tech film and do exactly what they do. It shouldn’t be that complicated.
 
Special teams are rough right now ... baxa can’t kick it out of the end zone. Spicers one punt looked like if you gave that punt to any other player on the team and they didn’t shank it

Too be honest I don’t know how feagles wasn’t blocked when they sent the house on him and I’m more shocked we didn’t call a timeout because we were totally outschemed on that punt it’s a miracle that didn’t get blocked

What game were you watching?

Baxa had only one kickoff that went right at the one or goal line. Most of his kickoffs were deep in the end zone. He had at least 6 kickoffs.

It was mixed but I don’t know what philosophy Hartley is telling baxa because it looks like he’s trying to place the ball
 
Another indictment of the lack of an effective player development program.

Think about this, how many other top teams are having a discussion about punting? Field goal kicker I get it--range, accuracy, etc. but the punting unit? This much discussion on essentially an automatic at least "good enough" play and unit personnel?

Hartley might be a great recruiter, but this unit of his is failing and flailing.

This is not the Miami standard.
