Spicer Possibly Starting Thursday

I will tell you last year at the Pittsburgh game and watch pregame kicks feagles was 10 times better then Spicer. What I have noticed is that feagles is actually very good at pinning people in with in the 20s but when he has to kick for distance that's when he is shanking it. That might be an opportunity feagles still can focus on until he learns to kick for distance. But I'm not expecting a lot from Spicer but you got to try.
@513CincycaneOSUSucks Not sure how busy you are, but if you can help coach ST, you can stay in my empty bedroom thru the Bowl games, I live near campus, so far you sound a lot more knowledgeable than our current ST coach!

Are you seriously telling me they can't find a rugby player at the University of Miami? Rugby kicking isn't as pretty as traditional punting because it tends to be a line drive with less hang time, but the upside is the ball generally takes wicked hops when it hits the ground giving more chance at turnovers. Even with less hang time, there is no way it is worse than Feagles 25 yard boots.
Or teach Rozzier how to pooch kick. Works for FAU

EDIT: because my phone autocorrects everything.

I still call bull**** on Feagles looking great in practice. Ive now seen Feagles punt in 17 college games. He has looked mechanically competent in one game. (Toledo). That tells me that the Toledo game is the anomaly and not the inverse.

As others here have noted, Feagles' negative effect on both the offense and defense cannot be overstated. He is hurting the teams chances to win close games.
Beyond hurting he cost us Lsu point blank period. He spotted them 21 points..

I am familiar but that doesn't mean that in a school with more than 10k undergraduate enrollment there wouldn't be a single person who hasn't played rugby.

It’s exactly what it means. Finding a rugby player that can punt effectively in a college game in a small enrollment school is 10 million to 1. If he existed, he would have already come forward.

Use your head. It’s much more likely to find a punter other than Feagles or Spicer right on the roster.

The likelihood is much greater to find a punter among the remaining kickers and athletes on the roster than in the general student population.

Talk to any player on the team..... he kicks bombs in practice. 50+ yards, 5 second hang. He has a leg but we all see the games. Also, Baxa is not a punter. Someone dropped the Venice kickers name a while back as a possible 2019 but he is also only a kicker, We dont need another kicker. We have Baxa and another true freshman, Camden Price. He is pretty darn good, too. We are set. Maybe a grad transfer? Hopefully, Feagles gets the kinks worked out. Always hopefully for our kids.

Problem with ***gles is that he's never had his *** kicked.

That's why he's shook all the time. I call it like I see it.

Just was listening to Mark Richt on WQAM this morning, and the conversation turned to Feagles at one point and his struggles. Richt said that he is great in practice and for some reason in games is does not do well. Then he said something interesting that I have not seen discussed on this forum.

At minute 14 Richt says "We may give him a break just a minute, just to calm down. But we will see him again..."

It seems like at the very least Spicer or some other punter will get some kicks in on Thursday.

If Spicer averages 25 yard punts, he is already better than Feagles....give it to the Spice !!!
