E$PN understands the brand of Miami football carries weight across the entire nation more than any team in the country. We blew the ratings out the water in the two primtime games (Vtech, ND). It's well documented the playoffs had pretty **** ratings last year due too it being teams located in the south/Midwest.

Tell me an Alabama v Miami game (barring a loss) wouldn't generate the most revenue since the Playoffs have started. The media can **** on us all they want but at the end of the day money talks.

All of this is hearsay cause we ain't losing, just food for thought.

Reality - Doubtful

Especially with Ohio State and Notre Dame both on the doorstep to sneak into that 4th spot.

Step 1 - Beat Pitt

Step 2 - Beat Clemson

If we fail Step 1 or Step 2, I'll see you all in Miami for the Orange Bowl.

Either way, people need to focus on THIS week and not next month.

To even mention Notre Dame as a possibility when comparing us fighting for a fourth spot with them is the dumbest thing I've read in a long time

It's like you guys haven't watched a big money school back door in over conference champions and 1 loss teams two of the last three years.

ND is as dead as dead can be. 2 loss AND no conference championship.

Notre Dame is 8th right now with a clear as day path to the 4 spot.

Notre Dame beats Stanford
Auburn and Georgia lose to Alabama
Wisconsin loses to Ohio State
One of the two ACC teams loses

Notre Dame backdoors in the #4 spot. Their combined SOS and SOR is the best in the country.

Plus the committee has a track record of putting in the big time money schools.

Do I think they jump a 1 loss Miami? No. Would I be shocked if they did? Not at all.

Nope. If * wins out they would be in over a 1 loss Miami.

You're partly right in that money is a deciding factor in these selections. The issue is, * is arguably the best travelling fan base (any reason to get out of Ohio) and will also attract an audience.

Just win the ACC

then that would be Bama, Acc Champ, Ou, Acc loser/Ohio State...ND has a 0% chance. Less then 0% actually.

1. Miami has to beat Pitt and play Clemson close.
2. Bama has to win out leaving the SEC with only one team in. Auburn wins this weekend and Bama gets in as 11-1.
3. OSU* has to beat WISC. WISC at 13-0 gets in even with that FCS schedule.

It would help if Michigan beat OSU*.

That leaves
13-0 Bama
12-1 Clemson
11-1 Miami
12-1 OU

WSC 12-1
OSU 11-2
USC 11-2
UGA 11-2
PSU 10-2
ND 10-2

FSU 6-6
UF 4-8

Beat Pitt and we have a good chance at making it regardless.

Gotta beat Pitt!! We better nut up.

I think it depends how close the hypothetical loss to Clemson is. Less than a touchdown probably in, lose by 21 probably out.

You can say it all you want, but It's just not true. Notre Dame will be the strongest two loss team regardless of what Ohio State does. The committee the last 3 years has established that they don't give a **** about conference championships.

There's a reason why Notre Dame stayed ahead of Ohio State after getting demolished by Miami, the same week that Ohio State absolutely demolished Michigan State. These rankings are set up for the long term. They'd bulldoze their own mothers house to get Notre Dame in the Final 4.
