Would like to know this as well but it will come out in time. He's going quickly but needs to fill the major positions first. My guess is one of the new coaches also coaches ST kind of like Hartley did here (but hopefully better). Is there room for a dedicated ST coach?

Ed Reed is a good hire in this position. Spent years with a team that had the best specials year in and year out in Baltimore. Heady player who played on lots of specials. I think this is a good position to start in the coaching world if he is not going to be a GA, which lets get serious, I doubt we ever see Ed Reed as a GA.

There's room, if a coordinator also coaches a position group, or if we combine CB and S into one DB group

Hiring a specific coordinator is kind of a waste. FSU did that and they realized it immediately this season. Hopefully he hires an assistant with a strong track record there.

We need someone with hard core special teams coaching experience.

We need to recruit an elite punter.

If we don't recruit a top one, we need a transfer and we need to hold open try-outs for a walk-on punter. There are very likely British and Aussie expats that play rugby (as well as spanish speakers) that can punt the ball consistently over 40 yards with good hang time. This has to get fixed...NOW!

We also need returners with elite speed, wiggle, vision and a knack for returning kicks. We have to get back to having elite returners (not just average).

Tremendous emphasis needs to be placed on special teams. With our athletes, we will be great again on ST if they are emphasized and that is combined with great coaching (especially the fundamentals of tackling and good decision making), attitude and hustle.
