“Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars and in doing so, we will make life better here on Earth.”
I get that he’s excited. But this is probably not gonna age well, as they say.

Why would that not age well?“Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars and in doing so, we will make life better here on Earth.”

Why would that not age well?
Why would a prediction to walking on Mars being late not age well though. Stuff like this always falls behind in the timeline. If we land humans on Mars within 1.5 Decades it'd be an incredible accomplishment. When do you expect humans to walk on Mars? Sometime soon?

And do you have an actual good reason why it can't?Well, that’s kind of my point. I have no reason to think it’ll happen within 1.5 decades. Or anything even close to that.

Interesting they used adaptation instead of evolution.
An incredible accomplishment indeed, but a foolish one. Human beings have always been obsessed with Mars, but it’s viability as another option to sustain human life is a fool’s errand, in my opinion. It has little to no atmosphere, no magnetic field, only a third of earth’s gravity, and is bombarded by astronomical levels of radiation. You could terraform it, but most conservative guesses claim it would take anywhere from 50-100 million years for it to actually work. It’s like when you’re buying a house; Do you purchase the very first house you look at or do you take your time and try and find a better option? There’s so many better options out there. Heck, even in our own solar system there’s better options IMO(Titan). Why would a prediction to walking on Mars being late not age well though. Stuff like this always falls behind in the timeline. How do you propose we get to titan in any way that matters without first getting to Mars?An incredible accomplishment indeed, but a foolish one. Obviously, there are no perfect solutions in our solar system, but Titan does have an extremely thick atmosphere which gives it a huge one-up over Mars, IMO. The extreme cold is a huge issue, but any planet, or moon, without an atmosphere is an automatic deal breaker for me. Also, it’s very cold on Mars also so not much advantage there. The amount of radiation early Mars travelers would have to contend with is an extremely problematic issue.Titan's gravity is less than the moon's and the temps are -300 degrees.
