I know this may be stupid but **** only if these kids had lebron's beta mentality and decided that they wanted to do it for their hometown and stay home we would finally be back COME HOME CALVIN

except he didnt stay home. he left for 4 years n then decided to come back. in the essay he even states that Miami was like him leaving home to go to college, leaving home to grow as a player and a man....

Elite talents from South Florida that decide to stay home and put on for their city have an alpha mentality, not beta. Players like Scarlett and Bruce are leaders, not followers.

It's perplexing how anyone could think otherwise.

Just getting ready to post this. It takes more guts to stay home and help build something up/back to the way it was, than it does to go somewhere where the deck is stacked and have it handed to you.

Can't equate anything about Lebron to THE U. He came to Miami because his state sucks and he couldn't win anything there. Came here, won 2 titles and found out that he still wasn't the only big or biggest deal in town. This is Miami, home of THE U and all the greatness of it and its players, the Fins and the PERFECT SEASON(only Miami has that), Don Shula and all the great football LEGENDS here, **** we even have 2 World Series, or then there is South Beach and all the celebs. Lebron was just ANOTHER big shot here. In Ohio he is THE ONLY BIG SHOT. What is his competition up there, whinning Urban, cheater vest guy. Bernie is his competition, but Bernie's greatest moment was, where else, MIAMI. Ok, Jim Brown is something but even they don't remember him. Lebron ran home because he could never be ALL that matters here. It is easy for him to be that in Ohio.

EXACTLY! a Miami without Lebron is still better than a Cleveland with him!

Actually this plays the opposite. A lot of people on here claim these kids can't come back home after leaving but Lebron leaving was the worse I have ever seen and now he is going back after he has succeeded and matured. He is showing you can always go back home. Of course we want all these kids to stay but they will also be welcomed back with opened arms if they decided to leave and come back.

Going to Cleveland had nothing to do with being the man or fame. He's trying to bring a glimmer of hope to the young kids of that terrible city that he didn't have growing up there.

I think him going home sends a message to the kids down here that they should go/stay home... as in go to Miami and win a ship, what what

Every situation is different. Some guys need to get away, some need to stay home. Life is situational not everything is the same.

Dude was a big supporter of both FSU and Ohio state.

He was never one of us. I respect him, but I never really liked him... I always thought it was kinda f cked up that some Canes fans turned the other way when it came to LBJ and The U.

Too early for this kind of talk.

Mad that hes leaving but hey, do what makes you happy bro. You fulfilled your promise to bring championships to MIA within 4 years. (Unlike somebody we know very well!) He owed us nothing. Wont wish him luck but I wont hate on him either.

Dude spent some time at The U. Shouted us out a couple times. Never liked his affinity for FSU, but wasn't like he was roaming SoFla with the tomahawk chop.

I miss him already.

God ****.

You could be right. I do really care one way or the other. It is all about THE U to me and what a pro who is not a Cane does is not important to me. He came, we paid him, he won 2 lost 2, team, fans and him fulfill duties. Your view is positive and very possible. I read his little write up and see dude who thinks he left there as King, won his titles, and is coming back as Savior. In a sense we are in agreement. He is bringing hope. Self-proclaiming that his return does that, well it just sounds god-like.

I have no issue with Lebron. We got what we paid for and he is free to go. If that some how makes kids in Cleveland feel better fine. I mean what else to they have--Urban?
