South Florida is still producing with a caveat…

The jury is out on the kids Mario has brought in, but it's incredible how many kids we haven't evaluated correctly over the years. Work ethic, grit, and toughness are traits that can't be ignored no matter how many stars a player has from a recruiting service. In fact, they should be part of an algorithm the staff uses to rank players being recruited. The ability to standardize an approach to recruits will lead to less deviation from these guiding principles, less misses, and will ultimately lead to the culture of strength and toughness that Mario so desperately wants. The "cancers" we have had over the years on our roster were guys who didn't have those traits. That metastasizes and the locker room falls apart.

Quite frankly, SimplyCanes is right. Allocate some resources to a street team of dudes like Gogeta and others who have proven themselves to be right on local kids more than our previous coaches over the last 20 years. If nothing else, see how their input compares to their own internal evaluations.
