I started this last week, but I accidentally clicked out of Google Chrome and lost it. I was mad and lost motivation, but now I'm back and ready to start all over again.
Another year, another great flock of South Florida wideouts. The 2022 class was horrendous (not just for receivers, but for every position group) but besides that class, every year since 2015 SFL has produced dozens of starters/contributors at the CFB level and a handful of NFL players each class. This was a GOOD CLASS. Not as many as 2023 and 2024, but these are some super talented kids the region produced this cycle. Let's look.
Calvin Russell, Miami Northwestern (6'5" 195) - DeMar DeRozan in football form. Explosive basketball wing that uses his albatross wingspan and bouncy vertical to moss defenders like Calvin Johnson. Nasty blocker in the run game. Legitimate hoops prospect and held several big time offers. Turned his savage up as a senior after an amazing junior year. Also a track athlete. Will need to gain weight and sharpen his route running, the only knocks on him I can think of. Mom is one of the greatest basketball players in Canes history. Syracuse signee.
Jasen Lopez, Chaminade Madonna (5'10" 165) - True North transfer. Dual star in both football and basketball. Plays like a Hispanic Brandon Jennings on the court and a Hispanic Devonta Smith on the field. Over 300 catches, 5,000 receiving yards and 61 TDs in varsity career. Place him in front of any DB and he will make the catch. Blue chip hoops recruit with numerous D1 offers. Easily projects to the slot where he can be a high-volume security blanket. FSU signee, where he will play both basketball and football.
Jabari Brady, Monarch (6'1" 205) - Briefly attended Chaminade as a junior but transferred back to Monarch. Physical, alpha-dog wideout that stuffed the stat sheet in high school. Possession WR that makes a lot of tough catches in traffic. Struggled to adjust to Chaminade and had to go back to Monarch, which made his ratings drop a bit. Also played basketball. 11.23 100. Reminds me of Louisville WR Chris Bell. Mizzou signee.
Leslie Mosley, Cardinal Newman (5'9" 155) - Glades Central transfer. Plays like a Muck kid. Explosive productive slot prospect that filled up the stat sheet. Plays with his hair on fire. Elite stop-start ability. 1,001 yards and 8 TDs on 19 yards a catch as a senior. Broke Newman's record for receiving yards in a game with 205. I'm not saying he will be as good BUT he reminds me of Malachi Toney. 11.21 100 but plays even faster. Extremely underrated. Illinois signee.
Brandon Bennett. American Heritage (6'0" 170) - Speed demon that pops the cork off of the wine bottle that is your defense. Lethal on screens and sweeps. Track speed (10.40 100, 21.06 200) translates to the football field. Is more straight-linish than wiggle. Will struggle with press man at the next level. I feel like he has more potential at CB than WR. Reminds me of Anthony Schwartz. FSU signee.
Brandon Kinsey, Miami Central (6'0" 175) La Salle transfer. Explosive playmaker who flew under the radar. Nat Moore Trophy finalist. The kid just finds a way to make play after play. Will burn you vertical or route you up in the intermediate. Marshawn Lynch determination after the catch. Not the biggest but just a straight dawg. Track background. Reminds me of a skinnier Brandon Inniss. I'm unsure how they did it, but Purdue snuck a gem out of South Florida.
Kaj Baker. Somerset Academy (5'7" 155) - Nicknamed "Nitro" for a very good reason, this is one of the fastest football players in America. 10.35 100 and 20.89 200 but somehow plays even faster. Devastating as both a RB and a WR. Plays how I'd imagine Dash from the Incredibles would. Unstoppable in the return game if you don't have a kicker with a strong enough leg for a touchback. Reminds me of De'Anthony Thomas. so it makes sense why De'Anthony's Oregon OC Scott Frost recruited him to UCF.
Efrem White, Vero Beach (6'1" 155) - Slender two-way prospect with big-time ability. Can play either WR or CB at the next level. On offense, a vertical threat with track speed and good ball tracking. Elusive after the catch. Lockdown DB on defense. As a freshman, I saw him take over a game against Miami Palmetto in a rowdy, fiery environment. Will need to get bigger. Reminds me of Lawayne McCoy. FSU signee.

Denairius Gray, Chaminade Madonna (6'2" 185) - Started out at Somerset Canyons. Jump ball specialist with long arms and good speed. Reminds me of Ahmmon Richards a bit. Very good at contested catches. Ran a 12.38 100 as a freshman but plays much faster. Kentucky signee.
Xavier Stinson. Vero Beach (6'2" 185) - Speedy big body deep threat. Very physical and will fight for every yard after the catch. Productive cog in Vero's air raid offensive machine. 11.00 100 but plays even faster. I think he can be a star if developed correctly, unfortunately I don't see that happening with the Hawkeyes. Iowa signee.

Dylan Faison, St. Andrew's (5'11" 170) - Lacrosse star that moonlights as a receiver. Ranked #1 lacrosse player in the country and holds numerous offers to play in college. Agility and reflexes translate to football. Speedy deep threat who will fit as a slot prospect at the next level. Over 2K receiving yards and 26 TDs in HS. Older borther Jordan plays football and lacrosse at Notre Dame, where Dylan will do the same
Jeffar Jean-Noel, American Heritage (5'10" 170) - Waited his turn in a loaded Heritage WR corps then blew up as a senior. Speedy route technician with great hands. Can absorb contact when making catches over the middle. Played some QB against Edna Karr after Dia Bell got hurt. Easily projects as a productive slot at the next level. Also ran track. Georgia Tech signee.
Gary Hadley Jr.. Cardinal Gibbons (6'2" 180) - Ely transfer. Explosive vertical threat. Lethal in the return game and can provide immediate value there. Track athlete and the spped translates. Extremely underrated, I'm not sure how he didn't sign with a P4 school. Tulane signee.
Joshua Joseph. Miami Central (6'0" 185) - Jackson transfer. Explosive deep threat with great agility. Can take screens and slants to the house at will. No track times but very fast on film. Also played RB and DB. Memphis signee.
Jamar Denson. American Heritage (5'9" 180) - Dia Bell's go-to guy. Speedy, uber-productive slot prospect from NFL factory. Over 1K receiving yards and 17 TDs as a senior. 11.58 100 as a sophomore but plays even faster. Went absolutely buckwild on St. Joseph (PA), Chaminade and Edna Karr to start the season off. Very underrated. Troy signee.
Malik Penson, True North (5'10" 175) - Homestead transfer. GREASED UP LIGHTNING. District champion in both the 200 and the 400. Electric returner that will immediately provide value there. Plays on the outside in HS but projects as a slot in college. Over 1600 yards and 21 TDs last two seasons. Underrated. FIU signee.
Jaborree Riggins, Monarch (6'3" 185) - Fort Lauderdale High transfer. Big body deep threat with good hands. Foot speed is average. Will need to work on route running. Akron signee.
Nicsaint Joseph Jr., Miami Northwestern (6'2" 165) - Long possession receiver with good speed. Good body control and ball skills. 22.38 200 and 51.89 400. Very raw, I think his best football is ahead of him. FAU signee.
Mark Hanniford, Atlantic (6'3" 190) - West Boca transfer. Electric deep threat with great ball tracking ability and elite YAC accrual. As a junior, had a record setting day in the state title game against Osceola, which included an FHSAA-record 93 yard TD. Also lettered in track. Very underrated. Ball State signee.
CJ Miller, Miami Palmetto (5'10" 165) - Westminster Christian transfer. Dominated private school comp before transferring to Palmetto as a senior and showing out yet again. Speedy slot prospect that racked up the yardage. Electric after the catch and a threat to score at any time. One of the best punt returners in the state and will immediately provide value there. Claims 4.44 40. Also lettered in track and basketball. Very underrated. Eastern Michigan signee.
Santana Carlos (not Carlos Santana), Flanagan (5'11" 170) - Started out at American High. Speedy route technician with good footwork. Also a returner and provides value there. No track times but plays very fast. Was committed to UCLA until DeShaun Foster's firing. Western Carolina signee.
James Jones, Atlantic (5'10" 150) - Started at Boca Raton High. Speedy production machine from a football factory. Electric after catch. No track times but plays very, very fast. Easily projects to the slot at the next level. Very underrated. North Dakota signee.
Kyle Andrews, West Boca (5'10" 175) - Speedy deep threat with great YAC ability. Electric return man and will provide value there. No track times but plays very, very fast. Best football is ahead of him. West Georgia signee.
