Agree. They're totally different players. But I see Smith having just as big a positive impact. Plus, if Daniels doesn't work out, he could move to RB in a pinch. Especially if the rumors are true that he's closer to 6' than 5'9". I'm looking forward to seeing his senior year performance.

Jacorey Brooks & OJ Gadsden were misses here. Jahmal Edrine was productive at FAU last season. Quincy Skinner, Bralon Brown, Jacolby George, Makai Lovett & Malik Rutherford still have a shot to be successful. Vinson Davis has been productive at the FCS level. RIP Fred Killings.

Romello Brinson & Jaden Alexis have been major disappointments.

An argument at practice that day led to Fred and two other teammates confronting Jeremiah Harris, a receiver from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the heat of the moment, Harris grabbed his pistol and shot the three men. The other two survived, while Fred was rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Jeremiah was found guilty of 2nd degree murder and is currently serving a 45 year prison sentence.

Things change quickly. Malik Rutherford went to Champagnat which isn’t even open anymore. I also remember academic concerns used to be a real concern for prospects from bad schools.

I, too, thought Jaden Alexis would be in the NFL by now.

Fran Brown benefited from Dino Barbers recruiting Oronde Gadsden II. American heritage continues to put dudes in the NFL.

I had the privilege of coaching Jacorey Brooks, Malik Rutherford, TJ Huggins, and Jayden Higgins from this class. The former two in flag for a few seasons and the latter two at SMGG.

Couldn't be more proud of the players and men they became.
