South Florida '17- The WRs

Dingle is the best pure WR of the group.

The best athlete of the group is Jeudy. Me and D$ both have discussed this as he mentioned. Jeudy upside at DB is tremendous.

Grimes I'm not that high on and D$ knows this through some of our prospect discussions. He's not bad but I've always viewed him a tad overrated.

Rodney Scott can go up and get it. He was injured most of his junior year so limited film. He makes it happen.

Daewood I've always been a fan of. Cannot teach his speed and size, has to refine some tools as a WR but has a nice ceiling.

Quantino Allen is a must have. Already been in contact with him and have sent him the coaches way just in case. He has JETS.

Carmoni Green runs a 22MPh on the treadmill. According to Pete Taylor(Sean Taylor's dad) that's about the 4.4 range. Would like Miami to keep an eye on him this spring and upcoming season.

Ali had a very productive year with Colombi at Uschool and followed him to Chaminade now. He might get passed up but I think Ali could blow up at a smaller D1 school. (Chaminade has weapons on offense with Colombi at QB, Shivers at RB and Xavier, Daewood and Ali at WR. That offense will be potent)

I like Henley but I have some guys I prefer before him.

I like Mike Harley. He improved his junior year. I do prefer other speed guys like Greene(IMG) and Quantino over him but I would like to keep tabs on him.

Grimes is slowly starting to remind me of another highly thought of WR from Broward that had the whole "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" thing going...Ben Victor.

Everytime I have seen Grimes he just doesnt dominate like I thought he should have. And im not talking about stat wise either. I fear he knows he already has that OSU offer locked up and is just going through the motions. Didnt play with the same fire that I saw in Bruce.

There isnt a DB in Broward that should have shut him down this year. Including Aaron Robinson. He has that much natural talent.

Whatever happened to Emmanuel green?

He's at IMG so I didn't include him on the South Florida list. He's definitely a player, though.

He is my favorite out of all the WRs this year. He is DeSean Jackson. Period.

Same size, attitude, swagger, quickness, toughness. Maybe not the same long speed but I bet there shuttle times are identical.

I hope he comes home because IMG is doing him no justice. He would be great at STA.

I hope CMR gives Urban and $EC coaches a run for their money with Grimes & Jeudy. By the way, there was a Padres middle-infield prospect a few years back with that same name, Jeudy, doubt there's a relation but it's an unusual last name...

No. Juedy is of haitian decent its very common last name in south florida. Juedy older bro is at juco in alabama thats why hes considering bama...got sauces trying nd trying to push um but to no avail.

Hit the nail on the head. For where he's rated, he has not shown me what I would like in someone rated that high. Yes, he has ceiling and potential. Faster and more physical than Victor was(I was low on Victor for a lot reasons), but as you said Jassid. He has not separated himself in multiple times I've seen him in person. Is he good? Yes, does he warrant a lot of the hype he gets? I think not. Can he? We shall see.

Hitting the nail on the head again Jassid.

Greene is a game changer. Speed, speed, speed and elusive as ****. Him, Bruce, Mullins and Pie were the bread winners for SFE last year. I only got to see Greene once while he was at Coconut Creek. Him and Malek were the two best on that squad.

We need speed infusion. Guys with elite speed like Greene and Quantino Allen fix that in a heartbeat.

I hope Greene comes back home. Would make STA receiving core even more ridiculous. Joshua Palmer '17(#1 player from Canada who transferred to STA, holds Michigan offer.), Trevon Grimes '17, Mike Harley '17, Jordan Merrell '17, and one of my personal favorites in......
Elijah Moore '18 who I've been high on since last spring.(He's very close with Bruce and Greene)

Greene came very close to committing to Miami last summer according to one of the players on SFE roster last year who's coming to Miami now. Miami still holds the edge but OSU is the #2 contender to watch for.

Greene is a must land in 2017. You remember Bruce said he would be recruiting? Greene is one of them.

Dingle and Henley are must gets, Jeudy has regressed since last time I watched his film, I like him at DB but he can dominate at WR as well. Henley is a must get because with this kid its not about stars but its about production, he is the safest pick imo out of any of these WRs. I watch his film and think wow, this kid will be amazing once he hits college. All the other WRs listed need to show more especially Grimes. Sites having Grimes and Calvin Ashley highly rated are questionable.

I'm with you on Henley. He's big, he has burst and he's productive. What's not to like?

Keeping Bruce in this class upped Miami chances of getting Emanuel greene even more for sure. He's a must get, dingle, Henley and 1 more receiver

My Consensus: From what I've read and watched on here - it clearly seems this is a deep WR recruiting class (to be expected in SoFLA) but there are 3 receivers that rise above the rest:

Jeudy - Bama bound
Grimes - Ohio State
Dingle - Would be **** nice if we land 1 of 3 and he's a big SOB

His QB looked good too. What's the consensus on him? Maybe not D1 but FCS?

Henley threw up the U during his highlights so that's good for us............ Can't let the Carol city kid leave at all cost he must stay Allen I like for the speed. Also like the 6'5 kid from the other thread and DAVIS...........This staff actually looks like they can close on some of these kids......

So nice write up go canes.

Dingle is Miamis to lose. I have him actually on commit watch for Junior Day next weekend.

I know he has said Miami is the favorite, but he also said if UF offered he would commit, so has that passed?

Dingle, Allen, Henley, Landers, Greene, some combination of 4 seems like a realistic get, but still very talented.

I woudn't leave South Florida for a reciever and if I am a reciever, I dont leave South Florida. There is a plethora of very talent kids that Richt and staff should have no problem plucking. I believe with the symetry of the current reciever postion, the 2017 class will add much needed elite talent. If I am a 2016 kid and I signed somewhere other than Miami, I am kicking myself in the you know what! Better get on that Kaaya train while it still docks in Coral Gables. With that said, give me:

Kevaughn Dingle
Emannual Greene
Quantino Allen
Leroy Henly
Daewood Davis
DeeJay Dallas

and make a serious run at Jerry Jeudy.

He came out a few weeks after saying that, completely backtracking from it.

He REALLY likes Miami. I was talking to him yesterday, he's excited to meet the new staff and see what's up.
