You are arguing for the sake of arguing.

Through the season, I have said that the defense needed to replace a lot of key players from Jackson to Dean to Johnson and Redwine, to Joe Jackson, Willis, etc. In spite of that, the defense did pretty well.

McCloud redshirting for the future and his prospects is my guess.

Rumph parting ways isn’t a surprise or a disappointment. I think expecting Manny to replace the whole defense AND the OC is unrealistic as I originally stated.

That said, if Manny took over the defense, I could see him looking to make other changes on that side of the ball.

I played under Rumph and saw first hand how much better he made guys like Corn Elder, AC, Mike Jack and Malik Young to name a few. AC had incredible athleticism but a D2 skill set before rumph turned him around. Same with Mike Jack

Been waiting on this. The sooner y’all realize that Rumphs lack of recruiting prowess was more of a liability than his coaching the better, with that being said however I’m not satisfied unless Banda is right out the door with him. Give me ONE elite DB coach who can recruit please.

Diaz is the coach. I think he was the wrong choice but I still want him to succeed. He has a chance with the staff I proposed.

Patke and Banda might not be the worst (up for debate) but they are bad just the same. Global issue needs a global solution.
 
Rumph is the new Swasey.

A total roach who survived a coaching change who is miserable at his job, but is inexplicable lauded for it.

What is Swasey doing now?

Honestly, with how inept our coaching and scheme have been it is 100% impossible to tell. Is it possible? Sure. Also may not be mutually exclusive to one another... coaching can suck, player development can suck, player talent can be underwhelming all at the same time. This is a mess is all I know.

he couldnt recruit when we had mark richt and won the ACC coastal either.

4-8, and I haven't even looked at the schedule yet. These dingbats on the BOT and the AD keep making the same mistakes/decisions and expect a different outcome. Its a Fellini movie at this point. Absurd.

I guess we’ll just assume talent evaluation isn’t the problem because most of these guys had interest from the elites.

That is kind of where I fall on it. Especially since I know (hope) we are more talented than FIU, CMU, LT, a GT team built for the triple option, and probably Duke as well.
