I think he should be fired based on special teams performance this year. Special teams were marginally improved overall but still weren't great. A lot of that improvement was just having Headley. Special teams directly cost us several games early on and were horrific for the first part of the season.
Only people who should be safe are Hickson & Fields..but Manny will keep one of his boys around on the defensive side hopefully Banda isn’t the one.
I like Rumph the teacher, but clearly Rumph the recruiter was not that guy. Your point is valid, but I find it hard to believe there is not a single coach that can recruit Miami and has experience at the college level. We have also tried this so many times with guys like Ice Harris and top guys still leave.i agree but who on this staff can work the inner city?
He's a great teacher..blah blah blah....
The school board of Broward county is always hiring.
We need to free up coaching spots.a whole lot of dead weight. I don't see how people can justify a guy that literally had to see a therapist because he sucks so bad at getting kids in recruiting. Yall justify it by saying he "coaches up".." develops" all that sh-t is a facade.
It was about to get real with the guys he didn't recruit graduating..and him not having anything to coach up. Patke should be next
Bartender and Patke must have some serious blackmail material on Manny. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Manny is basura... steps in the right directionAfter another disappointing loss for the Miami Hurricanes, it seems head coach Manny Diaz's staff could be getting quite the makeover during the offseason.
Multiple program sources have told CanesInSight that Hurricanes' cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph is not expected to be retained on Diaz's staff going into 2020.
This news follows a report yesterday from the AP's Tim Reynolds that offensive coordinator and QB coach Dan Enos is also not expected back on staff next season.
The Canes finished an underwhelming 2019 season on Thursday amid a ton of questions about the future of the program. After being shut out by Louisiana Tech 14-0 in the Independence Bowl and ending the year at 6-7, Athletic Director Blake James released a statement late last night on his Twitter account backing Diaz, adding that he expects changes to be made within the program.
"Manny Diaz is the right leader for our program, but clearly changes are necessary and expected," James said. "Manny is in the process of making a full assessment of the football program, including coaches and staff."
As for Rumph, he has spent the last 4 seasons coaching the UM cornerbacks. A member of the Hurricanes’ 2001 national championship team, Rumph returned to his alma mater in 2016 after spending the previous three seasons as the head coach at American Heritage High School.
If your job is to coach 6 guys then you better be a phenomenal recruiter. Rumph was the worst recruiter in program history given that he missed on every kid he coached in HS. The only reason you hire a HS coach in the first place is to get his HS players.well, I’m guessing rumph is getting canned for recruiting. CB coaches have to be monster recruiters.
manny wasnt going to retain him last year, they dont see eye to eye. i wouldnt be surprised if roland smith got a look
banda might be leaving "on his own" too.
@apfenny3 ....its rather comical that anyone thinks otherwise...
Lol at this BS.....I've known Mike for 20+ yrs....These Fools don't even realize he's the best Teacher on staff....
No question, and its not even close
Agree. Especially Patke.
I agree, need to rework the whole approach but stop wasting time on kids we know we won’t get
