Rumphs room took a major step back. Constantly beat in coverage. Even Bandy didn’t have a good year. His developer title looking questionable n we all know he can’t recruit

CIStards painted him as some sort of football scientist because he sucked so badly at recruiting that they had to prop him up somehow. That’s the problem with hiring former players. When they’re obvious garbage they get too much slack.

Did he need to go? Perhaps, his recruiting hasn't been the best.

But hes number....#18 on the list of problems.

It's absolutely not crazy. You go 6-7 and coaches are going to be fired, especially one who has struggled massively with recruiting and even with keeping an organized board/recruiting strategy at his position. Other guys should be gone too, but this is not crazy.

I’ve said as much, that’s not my point. I’m saying letting rumph go as a scapegoat but leave his boys untouched. Bad optics when they have been just as bad if not worse

I don't want this to come off as a shoot the messenger, but I have had enough of this nonsense hiring of high school coaches. He is more experienced than Rumph but go and hire a **** college coach who has been exposed to this level and worked under other top coaches.

well, I’m guessing rumph is getting canned for recruiting. CB coaches have to be monster recruiters.

CB recruiters are usually the best recruiters on the defensive staff.

Patke is also prob the cheapest guy on staff. I know we dont know the #'s but Manny has a budget to hit at the end of the day. Patke prob helps that a lot. Firing him to hire a "ST Guru" prob costs double Patke today...

Now, Yes he needs to be fired because his recruiting isn't up to par for Miami Hurricanes standards. Patke and Banda needs to go or blast the Program. Racism and Nepotism I have no time for that...

I think he should be fired based on special teams performance this year. Special teams were marginally improved overall but still weren't great. A lot of that improvement was just having Headley. Special teams directly cost us several games early on and were horrific for the first part of the season.
