Sorry to ruin everyone's day: Ereck Flowers

Welp....this is bad. Whoever suggested Mongo to LT and Darling/Odwogu at RT is probably spot on. I don't think mongo has the feet to be a good LT. Dis gon be bad.

Good thing is UNC is the worst defense in college football, so we should be able to see which group works best together without a problem.
 
I'd expect Darling at LT. While Feliciano may be the sensible choice because of experience and I think he's an NFL player (at Guard) who admirably chips in at RT, I don't think you put him so out of place that it lowers the overall line's effectiveness. We're better off with a strong right side of the line than a shoddy line throughout.

The question, if Darling is placed at LT, will be just how weak at the point of attack we'll be at LT/LG. Two True Frosh! Better get those guys in space immediately.
 
They'll be fine whoever they plug in. OL is the one unit I'm confident about and its not like Flowers was some world beater this year either. He was a decent LT.
 
Looks like it might just be a couple of weeks. Maybe back by FSU if we are lucky.

Uh he's our best OL and has been for some time. He's not just some decent LT... He's a very good LT.
 
Golden went Tanya Harding to bode up another excuse after the "hightened expectations" following the VT game and heading up to the FSU game.

This--and I don't know if it's been said yet, but Darling's been reported before as being a more natural T than a G where we had started him off at. His pass blocking is much better than most True Freshmen, he just needs to continue to improve his run blocking.

Why wouldn't he? Do you prefer him to give away information that he doesn't have to and provide the opposition with information that could help them game plan specifically for a freshman tackle?

Jeez some of you are so stupid with the Golden hate
