Soooo.......

That was a good team we just beat (Dangerous offense)

Defense performed really well -- although CB had a few mistakes (tackling, coverage) that's fine due to CB being our strength. So we can expect them to continue doing well and improving.

I like trick plays but Coley was just dialing them up too often.

Time to put KC on the Oline. Gadbois needs to sit down

Love the head hunting hits today from perryman to Carter etc..

special team coverage was average. Needs improvment. Samerene kid should get an audition as well.

all in all a good solid win for coach Golden and co..

Lotta positive

Lotta negative

Positives:

We've been excellent against the run thus far.
We have plenty of explosive talent on offense.
Berrios has been even better than I could have dreamed.
Kaaya has a ton of poise and showed that today with a couple mishandles, but still made the correct plays
Carter, Bush, D. Crawford (sans that one mishap), A. Crawford and Elder are studs

Negatives:

We still have alignment issues against up-tempo offenses
Didn't see much in the way of 4 man pressure
Artie, Gunter, and Tracy looked really bad in man coverage downfield.
Those deep balls and long plays were essentially freebies. Blown coverages and mismatches. Won't happen against improved competition.
Coley has absolutely no idea what he's doing. He's throwing darts at his call sheet.

Most importantly:

Our offensive line has been a problem since Louisville. What I learned today is that the problem will not be solved this season. That right side is putrid and Shane McDermott is less then serviceable at center. You have a problem when you have a line with one guy who can't pull his own weight...we have 3.

Lastly, the running backs ran like grown *** ******* men today. Duke set the tone and it seemed like Gus and Joe got the memo. Don't let nobody tackle you with their arms. Step outta that **** and keep chuggin

Good win. Next week in Lincoln is a turning point.

All I care about is that people don't be hypocrites here, if you ripped certain things against an inferior opponent last week, don't dismiss improvements this week against a better team. Like on Kayaa for example.

that said staff still coaches this team like crap. That's consistent week to week.

The coaching especially on defense is awful.

This defense may make it impossible for us to win another game this season. Coley's playcalling is only a little less brain dead than Oh No Frio's defense. Coaching is just awful and killing a fairly decent bunch of kids chances to win. It looks like we're going to lose to the GD Hoos again and that is something I just can't stand. Losing to those bourbon and branch water pu$$ies every **** year is just intolerable and unacceptable.

MOAR trick plays! WTF was that all about? Just line up and beat them. All that getting cute just killed drives.

Defense still looked lost. I was at game and was paying attention to details and they still weren't ready at the snap. Still refuse to go to 5 DB when they go 4 or 5 wide. Still have LB covering slot WR. Still can't cover WR when QB breaks contain and throws floaters. We should have beaten that team by 50, they were not good.

I'm actually more comfortable with the d than I thought. Chickillo doesn't get enough credit. Beast, has been dominant thus far.

I think they were trying to use the trick plays to get a live run since they figured they could get away with a mishap. I hope. Idk what coley is ever thinking tbh.

McCord is a psychopath. Might be the most explosive edge rusher since I've been old enough to notice things like that.

Didn't get much burn but I love Trent Harris. Football player.

Swasey isn't and hasn't been the problem. bigger faster strong.

Coley is gonna kill us.

Exactly how many people can run with Dorsett? Its always a mismatch. The Gators know it. Everyone knows. Stay in in the shotgun, play action to Duke and let it fly. Notre Dame knows it too. Dorsett just didn't make the catches. Too many guys you can put out there. Teams can't stay with all of them.

Coley is still a worse playcaller than Nix.

A day where athleticism showed outside of the OLine (horrid)....coaching still sucked.

The same team you called a real threat weeks ago?

I trust Crawford and elder more than I trust Howard and burns. Armbrister is making NFL scouts take notice.

What's everyone's feeling after today?

1. Do we even practice throughout the week?
2. Glad we won. But we are crazy sloppy in all three phases of the game.
3. We have NO identity on offense. We need to find it fast.

We need to set a rule here. If you think Miami sucks and will get rolled by virtually team they play that's your prerogative, but you can't bash the same team when Miami beats them.

All I heard all week was that Ark St isn't a "cupcake" ..... Well now The []_[] wins by 21 and they should've won by more? SMH ... Just be happy they won and there were no major injuries.

* Kaaya looks like he is gaining confidence. Kid throws a nice, accurate deep ball with good touch. Wish he would fire it in there more when throwing into tight places...

* Offensive line still scares the heck out of me. Defense is still too passive imo, but the players are doing a better job of being where they're supposed to be as opposed to last year.

* Tackling still sucks

* Disturbed by the amount of wide open WR's ASU had and how few plays on the ball our DB's made

* Defensive line looks like it is much better than it was last year

* Coley's playcalling is still a head scratcher. His playcalling is haphazard and uneven. Seems like he calls plays without any rhyme or reason.
