Sony getting the full court press

Joseph Yearby season stats: 132 carries, 1243 yards, 9.4 avg, 15 TDs

Brandon Powell season stats: 105 carries, 1147 yards, 10.9 avg, 18 TDs

Sony Michel season stats: 116 carries, 873 yards, 7.5 avg, 12 TDs

Love those stats, but worried about this:

Yearby: 5'9", 177
Powell: 5'9", 169
Michel: 5'11" 205

Sony is really starting to come on. His last 3 games: 22 carries, 329 yds, 14.9 yd avg., 5 TD's. 1 catch 56 yds, 1 TD.

Yearby & Powell are very good RB's, but Cook & Sony are still the Grand Prize

We need size. Bottom line. And not just size-- gamebreakers with size. Cook or Sony is a must.

With the size of the running backs we are recruiting I think we may need to change our running strategy, I'm not saying we need to become Oregon but just running the ball straight up the middle into 300 pound linemen with these 180 pound running backs may not be the best strategy to utilize them

This right here, also without sugar coating, Jordan Scarlett's a must get (for now I refuse to believe we get a beast running back from central florida that every one wants)

Agree that we need a big RB that can be a game changer, Hopefully Sony sees the carries he could be getting here next year.

This says a lot! Considering Yearby probably goes up against the best defenses consistently within the guys in this group it says even more!

Also, knowing Golden and the fact we were 7 until last night's loss, we are a National Player on the field and in recruiting. That being said, we should be all in for Fournette! I'm sorry but with Duke, Crawford, Yearby, and Powell we can do great things as long as our QB is developed and plays well, then we can go after some of the top RB's in the 2015 class!

Don't forget Bo Scarbrough and if we miss on all of them then make a mad dash late push for D'Andre Ferby from Ensworth HS in Tenn.

Don't sleep on those lowly 3* RB's we got worked last night by a Freeman and for that matter every year we play FSU he goes nuts on UM just to prove a point coming from Miami Central, he flashed the 305 all night. But that aside the Boston College RB Andrew Williams was 2010 3* ranked the #44th running back in the country(who AG put the full court press on at Temple) and he ran wild on FSU as a power back. If we had a good 230lb back with good speed, last night would have been so different, because he would have ripped of 10 and 20 yd runs all night with running over the first defender. This is why I say don't sleep on Ferby, if we miss on the other "Grand Prize Recruits".

Go Canes.

We also offered Donte Thomas-Williams. What is the scoop on him. Impressive size and speed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfD-61aQfPU

To be honest, we need quality depth.

You can have three smaller backs if you're confident in handing them the ball.

At the moment we have (had) Johnson, who is obviously a little small to tote it 20+ times a game. After that we have a bunch of kids the coaching staff have very little confidence in, despite Crawford taking this team on his back and winning the UNC game and Edwards being a big/highly thought of recruit.

If you have say Yearby, Powell and Johnson next year then they can split carries - go with the hot hand when you need to, or limit their touches to 10 each (15 if we're stomping someone). It's tough to get worn down on 10 touches.
