I still don't understand why people come on here and preach "logic" and "reason" to FANATICS on a ****ing message board. We are the 2% of the fan base that this is life or death to. For the 1,000,000,000th time, no one really cares about these kids outside of football. If they aren't Canes, then they are nobody to us. Why is this so hard to understand?

Why are you using common sense, logic and simplicity?

**** these comments are so annoying. This and "he ain't coming". Do u know him personally? Or do you read the exact articles we do? What did you say about Seantrel, Tracy, Deon, AQM, Wyche, etc.? These are 17 18 year old kids that don't know themselves where their going, yet posters somehow know.

Yea, what was I thinking? I forgot this was recruiting, and obviously a once a kid gives a verbal it's OVA! Anybody have Golden's email? We should let him know to stop wasting his time recruiting Sony. He probably doesn't know that he gave UGA a verbal. Maybe we can all pitch in to help get coach Golden a rivals subscription so he's up to date on all this stuff.

Sony Michel grew up a fan of the Miami Hurricanes and although he committed to Georgia in the spring, UM didn't give up on him. Their consistency paid off Saturday when Michel was back in town...

Many would have told you this time a year that Sony Michel was going to be a Miami Hurricane when his college career began.
Then Georgia got him on campus last fall, the Dawgs made him a top target in 2014, and after visiting Athens again in the spring, the top prospect in the Sunshine State committed to UGA.

Michel has continued to state that his commitment to Georgia is strong, but Miami has not given up on him.

UM running backs coach Hurley Brown has continued to call and recruit Michel and he may be giving the 'Canes one last look.

"I went over to Miami for the game," Michel said. "It was not a [official] visit, but just a game."

Michel didn't make too much of a big deal about the time he spent close to the Hurricane coaches and players Saturday, but it is a big deal to the Miami staff.

"I was able to talk to all of the coaches out there and they showed some love. The welcomed me and Coach Al Golden talked to me about how the program is finally back rolling."

This was only the second college game Michel has attended this season. He was at Georgia on his official visit when the Dawgs beat South Carolina in a close one and he saw Miami win when Duke Johnson scored a touchdown with less than a minute to go against Wake Forest.

He said, "It is different because it's two different places" when asked to compare each environment.

Michel does not know yet if he will return to Miami for another unofficial visit or for an official visit.

He has visited Coral Gables, Fla. many times, but he enjoyed the "love from the fans" Saturday when he was back in town.

The question now is, just how interested in Miami is the five-star running back?

He is really down-playing the significance of this visit and when asked if UGA should be worried about his commitment, he said, "No."

Michel is the No. 12 prospect in the country.

Pretty terse. At the very least, we can take solace in the fact that he seems convinced the program is going to be successful under Golden. IMO, that is the best we can hope for at this moment in time.

What's funny is that you're acting like a recruiting noobie and have never heard of this thing called "flipping" that happens all the time

this dude aint coming...remember he flawged UM with a hat trick when he committed? put on an orange hat then switched for a UGA hat

he's just enjoying free tickets to his childhood favorite team, says nothing about his recruitment

Why not keep trying in case UGA totally implodes? Its clear as day that he is making sure his bro gets in before making anything official with them. I bet this is even a little "power play" on his part to UGA. Kinda like a "Dont F with me. I will decommit on that a$$ if you ***** my brother". If the bro enrolls in Jan... Lock the back door, its over. But if something happens to where "admissions made a boo boo" and he doesnt get in, things could get very interesting. PLUS you gotta know Mike Rumph is in his ear everyday about the U.
