I like the kid a lot but this is also fair. WRs are such a fuggin crapshoot

But Spaffords speed is why he’s at the top of my list. I like this kids physicality though. Hopefully easier for him to get open instead of getting bullied
Absolutely. It’s like when I was growing up hearing “ he’s the next Jordan “. Wide receiver is a technical position where a large amount of your time must be spent on mastering the route tree. Making every release look the same while not being the same route. Very few guys have the natural talent to make up for the lack of work ethic. This is what makes evaluating that position so **** hard. I won’t know your work ethic until you get on campus .

The closest thing to Jordan was Kobe even though the line of “ the next Jordan” is a mile long. Kobe wasn’t the athlete of Mike albeit a good athlete but he had the same psychopath work ethic and drive . Athletic ability is the easy part with evaluating athletes ,there’s no test for work ethic and competitiveness.

Boom! That's why I would like to know his work ethic. Will he bust his tail working on the technical side? He isn't the twitchiest or fastest, but I like him. This thread reads like Moore's last year who I also wanted early. Moore is different athlete, though. He will need to put in that work.

I got burned too many times watching film and 7 on 7 stuff

Then you see guys in person and I’m like Jesus these are little kids. And they get bullied by DBs at the next level

Is Smith going to tweet and in essence ruin the moment?

I like the old way where you eagerly waited for the kid to say it then went full meltdown about a hat toss. I'm old fashioned. Give the kid his moment to start being an a-hole.
You can't script this:

I agree that Dennis Smith ruins the fun with the tweet. Why cant we just find out when the kid tweets his choice. All we can do is get discouraged at this point if it takes a horrible turn.
What’s the difference in Smith and all the recruiting service guys doing it before? I mean, it’s no surprise to anyone.

This is where I’m at. Good strength, very good basketball player, can run routes, hands catcher. Question would be explosiveness, although I think he has enough to be solid there. He reminds me of Upshaw last year.

I like his productivity. 1K plus yards as a junior and close to 17 ppg in basketball. He also has good reviews from the 7on7 circuit.

Does anybody from up North have a sense of his competition level? It looks pretty good on film. His first long TD in his junior film is against Heritage.

I think wide receiver Marshall Few who we recruited from same area a while back had a good game against Heritage too. He barely cracked our lineup despite that, so it's very hard to say due to competition level being pretty mid.

Every now and then you get some decent players from here like Kenny Logan who I recall Richt may have tried to recruit as a DB who had a good college career at Kansas (and may be in pros) and a player like Tony Steward who played at Clemson and made the league but career cut short due to injury.

CiS: the world is over and we might never land another commitment. It’s all Dennis Smiths fault

Mario: here’s a top 175 WR that should be a Gator

CiS: ******* Dennis smith ruining this commitment by sending out a tweet
We always need a good boogeyman to blame.
