Something to think about

I amend my last statement..they aren’t the difference between 6-6 and the ACC championship

some kids may see the need to come in and blow up, get written about all the time and get the fame. you go to Clemson and you get lost in the crowd with all the other 5 stars around you

Nope it was the war daddy type dlinemen that made UM great, QB's are a nice to have but the big boi's are must have.

Case in point 2020 DT Tim Smith (who is going to Bama and Jalen Carter who is going to UGA). If UM signs these two DL's then Justin Flowe would committed to UM month's ago

Um, are you responding to a different post and hit reply on mine by accident? I didn’t mention D line as not being great back in the day. I was a student at the U back in the day.

My point is that our qbs have sucked ***. Qb being the most important position in all of sports in the known universe. Kosar was a smidge better than say Marve. Embarrassing to think of a leader like Kosar in the same sentence as Wright. Vinny v Freeman?

Line up the qbs between kelly and torretta and then post torretta to today. NFL guys v nobodies save for Dorsey who still wasn’t the talent of a Jim Kelly.

We 100 percent need a real QB. I will now put you on ignore because you are ignorant. Feel free to continue that path in life.

My cane brother games are won and lost in the trenches. You can win championships with a game manager at QB, that has great line play. See Ken Dorsey and the QB bama had that won 2 championships ( I forgot his name)

What if Miami got Flowe and Washington? What does that change ? We’ve already had big time tight ends and linebackers and we still sucked. We need top lineman and speed.
Agreed on what we need in terms of gaps on the roster. I would argue that we need a big-time LB like Flowe right now to take the place of Shaq in the middle, however.

As for landing Flowe/Washington, I think we only land 1 if we get either of them. I think landing them both is just a bridge too far for me to believe. That being said - landing 1 or both of them would be massive for program perception with other recruits going forward, and could start a trend of big name, high ranked guys coming to UM in the future. Does that mean we start getting in on more highly ranked OL and/or speedsters? Maybe, maybe not. No way to tell. BUT - even landing one of Flowe or Washington would be a massive shot in the arm publicity-wise, and they're 2 uber-talented players that can help continue to change what's really wrong with this program - the culture.

Baga had QBs like McElroy and Blake Sims.

Well we have redshirted the DL's that will be infront of Flowe for the next 3 years. The DL's will be protecting him to let him do his thing. And we have a pretty good QB prospect to get the ball to Washington to let him do his thing. And our OC was getting the ball to Jordan quite a bit. That is not going to stop. For them as prospects it would help a lot. Just look at how different our D performed with Bubba at Safety. no long runs when he was in.
