Well, im sure that has nothing to do with not stunting the dline every single play or dropping the DE in coverage way too often.

still dropping a guy like Lightfoot into coverage a bit more than I'd want. Lightfoot hasn't done much as an actual Pass Rusher so far...

But I can't think of any single change more obvious ever than just stopping the ******* stunting last season. Was insane...

Bain is literally unblockable. Just go back and watch the game. Watch him on every snap. He wins every ******* rep, it’s unreal. No matter where they line him up, he cannot be moved from where he wants to go.

And Mesidor ain’t far behind. They both just run straight through the tackles chests on both sides, where are you supposed to run?

Setting the edge and outside runs all but being eliminated . Last year it was like a glitch on Madden . Where the kid sat and waited for third and twenty to use the glitch play. This year the de’s are getting upfield while keeping outside leverage against the blockers . I’ve seen both DE just stalemate or physically eliminate an OL keeping contain showing discipline / gap integrity. Assignment football isn’t getting the attention because we’re erect guys are actually lining up correctly. But all play a huge part in the big turn around defensively . More props to stone cold heatherman

I wouldn't go that far on every play, but you're certainly right that the edge is owned.

I'm just seeing gap integrity from C on and the SAF coming down the lane on, outside zones, bounce outs, tosses etc.

I'm just going with the wait and see approach to a true running team. Notre dame was advertised as such but Love isn't very good, his back up is better. Georgia Tech is the true offense that forces you to play disciplined across the LOS from sideline to sideline.

But I will say, I expect this to continue and am happy with alignment and play.

Bain is on an absolutely different level right now, haven't seen a Miami DL this unblockable since Sapp

In all seriousness, when was the last time we had two nfl DEs in the same draft?

We had Rousseau and Phillips both go R1 like four years ago….but kind of weird because they never played together.

Also Roche was in that draft.

Notice this as well. USF longest run was 9 yards. They create a wall where they get to a spot and work from there instead of trying to go super wide and speed rush themselves out of the play.

The fact that our two leading tacklers for the game were both DL vs LBs or Safeties shows how rarely the RB and QB ever got much past the line of scrimmage throughout the game.
