Someone needs to destroy the tape of the 2003 Fiesta Bowl

Or how about FSU getting to play Oklahoma in the Orang Bowl in 2000 eventhough we were both one loss teams and FSUs loss was to us. Then FSU promptly scored only 4 pts and got their asses handed to them.
Fact! That's why I said, "at worst". We honestly could be sitting on 9 rings, looking to add the one on for the 2nd thumb, with competent officials, a QB that could see, and not getting screwed by the voters or computers. :noidea:

Actually, they only scored 2. (And it was the defense that scored.)

Washington really came out on top of the head to head chain, but nobody took them that seriously since they looked very unimpressive during the season. (Except in the Miami game.)

I get talking about 2000, 2002 and perhaps even 1988. But what’s the ninth?

From 1983 to 1992, UM was as high as #1 during the season 9 out of the 10 years. That's how dominant these Miami teams were.

Games I can't watch:

PSU Game
OSU Game
'88 Notre Dame
Byu Game
Dalvin Cook FSU Games
Maryland Game
Boston College Game

The '02 OSU Game, neither my stepfather nor myself can watch.

We cut off the U part 2. We mutually agreed that there was no need to hear about that game ever again.

If only I could put that ref bent over an exam room table, and put tiny firecrackers up his **** and let them go off. Hope there’s a referee **** down there with a place reserved for him.

I'm as die hard as they come and to this day I have never watched the OSU phantom interference call game that cost us the NC.

It's certainly painful but we were the beneficiaries of some lucky bounces in 1989, 1991, 2001. It all seems to even out for us when considering what occurred between 1983-2002.

I can’t watch any game from 2002 or 1986. Still hurts too much to know those teams didn’t win the title. When ESPN had the full 2002 UM-FSU game on I couldn’t watch. **** shame. That was a championship team that got robbed.

What’s worse are the constant threads about this game. Nobody wants to relive it.

Eh, no other team has been cheated out of championships by the refs twice (1988 and 2002) and had been cheated out of a third by BCS computers. (2000)

I won’t whine about 1986, since there was no controversy about that game.

I'd like to add the 7-35 Tennessee debackle in the 85 Sugar Bowl. Never adjusted to the blitz.

-‘86 should’ve been our title
-‘88 should’ve been our title b/c ND had no business remotely being champions
-‘94 is an asterisk b/c even though PSU went undefeated, we had a helluva schedule that we navigated through...so not sure if we held on to the lead against Nebraska if we don’t get a share of the title w PSU
-01 BCS title should’ve been ours b/c FSU had no business playing OU and we were clicking on both sides of the ball. (Ask The #6 Gators)
-03 BCS title (no need to explain this)

We are for sure missing 4 titles in the cupboard, potentially 5; but out of the 4 missing, 86 is still the biggest head scratcher. We completely got robbed in 88, 00, 03...no disputing that; but 86??? Man, that team had a chance to go down as an all time great. Smh

I don't believe for a moment that Vinny threw the game, I only mention it because its been mentioned before. I would like to know why Johnson didn't sit him for a while and go with the backup. Or, go heavier with the run? It seems like with this game and the Tennessee Sugar Bowl loss Johnson wasn't prepared to adjust.
