Someone at ESPN is getting fired for showing this

I’m praying for many Diaz and for Mensah to internalize all the football god’s qb powers and beat Virginia. That way the committee and the acc both look stupid for their dumbahhss rules because a 7-5 team will be in the playoffs and get the lowest ratings ever for a playoff game and the sht will be over after the first drive.

It's the five top-rated conference champions that get auto bids— the ACC isn't guaranteed diddly.

Chances of Duke getting in with 5 defeats — including one to Tulane — is somewhere between slim and none.

James Madison is 11-1 — with a loss to Louisville — and won't lose at home to Troy for the Sun Belt championship.

The Tulane (10-2) vs North Texas (11-1) winner in the American championship game also will get in before the Fightin' Mannys

No they’re not; it allows for great content & talking points. The more u guys know what goes on behind the scenes, the more u’ll know things r intentional to drive ratings. ESPN has become the soap opera of sports media. My little cousin is one of the NBA Countdown producers, & he’s also in charge of talent acquisition.

His job is to create eyeball worthy content to drive ratings. It’s no different than Nick Wright being the biggest LBJ Stan which propelled him to heights in his career he never imagined. He realized clicks matter, & what drives clicks is controversy. His private tweets says something different on he felt was The GOAT & y b4 he became an on air shock-jock like sports host.

This was intentional; & the nation will be tuned in to CFP selection Tuesday hosted by…ESPN
Gottlieb laid it all out back in 2012 after he left - the higher ups gave the on-air talent orders to mention Tim Tebow as much as possible, regardless of what sport they were covering/announcing

It’s like Marciante said yesterday on the OBB, the committee is made up of people whose racist dads and kkk granddads told them bedtime stories of how a team with black thugs from Miami ruined college football in the 80s and 90s.
Reiterated this same thing in another post. All things being equal We are better than ND. But, equal doesn’t compute to 30 yrs of hate for changing the White bread CFB landscape. They hated our talent, speed, aggression, and swagger. They called us thugs and convicts, but we won. And, in mainstream media and CFB We rubbed those Jim Crow mfer’s raw. But look at CFB now, it’s us. But these old a** B**ches can’t let it go. Kinda like keeping the statues of the Confederacy up. Same mind set. Just Sayin’

Well then the acc is gonna be even more of a laughing stock if not only none of their teams get in but of the committee just slaps them in the face and doesn’t allow one of the best teams in the country statistically (Miami) a spot because they weren’t a conference champion because of the conference’s own dumb ahss rules.

Anyone saying “put pressure on the committee” is on hopium.

The only pressure the committee cares about is how much psi their pockets can hold with all that sec and BIG money.

The acc is a laughing stock with their rules. The entire acc is damm slush fund to promote their basketball schools and the way they’ve refereed Miami games over the past 20 years proves it.
If they had any balls or integrity they wouldn’t allow a 7-5 team to represent them in their conference championship.
And if the cfb committee really cared about the 10 best teams then Miami would be in.

I’m praying for many Diaz and for Mensah to internalize all the football god’s qb powers and beat Virginia. Im rooting for Duke because if they win the ACC will be excluded from the playoffs.

Believe what you want. It’s all on the up and up. Ok.

i am paraphrasing Roman Marciante from the OBB postgame show yesterday. Go take it up with him.
Why are you doing this? Getting salty with me and changing the topic each time? Did you want an award for summarizing what someone else allegedly said? If/when I see Roman post those comments, I’ll fire back the same comments I made to you. I challenged the racism angle. You responded with a five gallon bucket of horses.hit that had nothing to do with the specifics.

Once the sports world saw how they could piggyback off shock talk radio hosts like Howard Stern back in the day, it was a wrap for the old school objective based reporting. It’s all about ratings and clicks.

Exactly. These graphics don’t come out of thin air. They literally have meetings on what’s going to be discussed & if this happens this graphic will be put up & if that happens, that graphic will be put up. It’s all a production.

Compare the amount of backlash the committee will get when choosing either ND or Miami….

they will receive a ton of backlash for putting ND over Miami due to H2H

on the flip side they wouldn’t receive hardly any for putting Miami in over ND bc they can cite H2H

Makes the decision pretty obvious but this is exposing the bias and level of BS involved.
They don’t give a **** about backlash. ESPN pays their bills.

Who would they select, you think? Could they put Miami in or is there something in the rules if they pick a team from ACC it has to be the conf champs?

Pretty stupid to bring race into it…that’s complete bull****. If you don’t know it, you’re a buffoon.

I believe Miami deserves to be in. H2H and
common opponents dictate that.

Before crying racism, maybe take a second to realize ND is the bluest of blue bloods and by default that may be a swing. As irrelevant as that should be.

They CANNOT use the “not in same pod” bull****. Why? Because why would two teams in this position be so separated to begin with? That’s even MORE egregious than comparing the two and picking ND.

Their hands are really tied here. They’ve got to make the right decision and rely on H2H to break the tie. That’s it. Then move the **** on.
exactly, Miami wins the head to head and common opponent argument.

That ain't forcing ****, Cane brotha.

Canes gonna be in the SEC or B1G in a couple years -- nobody's risking that promotion to file a law suit essentially against the very club you hope to join.

It is what it is.

If Sam Jakovich had told Roy Kramer in 1990 that we'd accept an invite to the SEC, we wouldn't have this problem (not to mention quite a few others over the last 30 years)

First, Sam Jankovich didn't have the power to accept an invitation to the SEC. Such an act would have required a vote of our Board of Trustees.

Second, you can't give a major university "48 hours to decide", particularly in 1990 when the internet didn't exist and it was hard to do due diligence on conference financials, TV contracts, and governance documents. Not to mention contacting nearly 100 members of the Board of Trustees to share such information, have deliberations, and take a vote.

Today, things are very different. Certain schools have been doing their homework on various conferences FOR YEARS and have contigency plans in place to be able to respond to any overtures made by certain conferences.

And we have not had any other "invitations" by conferences we would WANT to join "over the last 30 years". The Big 12 doesn't count.

I can’t do the racist thing. Not on this. Not in 2025. Not because racism is dead (it’s not). Because literally all the teams have similar racial composition. Real reason? SEC is driving the bus and ND historically gets better ratings. Period.
Oh and the B1G.

Here's the thing. Multiple things can be true, at the same time.

This isn't about "all the teams have similar racial composition". This is about hypocritical behavior. Take, for example, the 1986 Fiesta Bowl Steak Fry, when many Miami players walked out due to the racial jokes being told by the Pedo State players during the "skits" portion of the evening. It made no difference that the "racial composition" of both teams was similar, because the PERCEPTION of Miami as a "thug team" and Pedo State as a "milk & cookies team" was well-established (though inaccurate) at that point.

What this is REALLY about is individual people who make up the committee. ****, the CHAIRMAN of the 2025 CFP Committee had to step down for, among other things, getting into a fight with a player and coaches about the color of a sleeve that was being worn by a player with an arm injury. The sense of entitlement among these ADs and other members of the CFPC is enormous. They have spent decades working in settings where they are "the boss" and could dictate terms to 18 and 19 year old student-athletes, many of whom are not well-off. We cannot ignore the nearly century-long denial of any form of cash "payment" for the labor of these student-athletes.

So whether the arrogance and stereotypes of the more elderly members of the CFP Committee comes solely from race...who knows...but when the time comes for forming general opinions about certain schools, it is usually based on decades of misinformation (racial or not). Let's not forget that USC has a comparable reputation to Miami, that we each recruited (and paid, before it was legal) a bunch of players "from the hood". Why? Because both schools are in large cities with a reputation for glitz/glamour as well as crime. Schools such as GaTech and Northwestern escape such comparisons because of their academic reputations. And most Division I universities are located in more rural environments.

We have to stop worrying about Notre Dame. Both schools deserve at-large bids this year. The CFPC is ALWAS going to kiss ND's collective ****, why do we think that everyone has bent over backwards to INCLUDE Notre Dame in a proposition that clearly favors conference membership?

As for the SEC-Big 10 duopoly...get used to it...

But that still doesn't change the fact that, FOR DECADES, most of these ADs have been cracker-*** crackers with a lot of preconceived opinions on certain matters.

Maybe that will change over the next couple of decades. But explicit acts and implicit feelings of racism do not disappear simply because we want them to disappear.

Remove race from everything you wrote and your commentary holds merit. Claiming racism is unnecessary and dilutes the larger message of unfairness. Thats why I bristle at

Oh and GT and Northwestern mostly sucking in sports is largely the reason why they avoided the racism.

Curious, what does the CFP gain by putting ND in instead of us? Who’s paying them off? They’re not an SEC Disney Darling. Ratings? More money? I just want to know what their entire integrity is worth in 💰 and if they’re willing to completely eradicate it over the 💰
Someone mentioned the tv contracts ND and Sec schools have. There’s a lot of money on the table…
