Some Week O thoughts...

It would be awesome to play in that game. No way your lady wants to go to Ireland and you can fly out a week early with the boys to play RCD, Royal Portrush, Portmonarck, etc.

UNLV under first year coach Dan Mullen kept FCS Idaho State in the game into the fourth quarter. They are on many people’s G5 list for the AQ from the mountain west but their secondary look like Miami’s last year. That was not a good game for him despite the win.

they cost me a few hundred dollars as i picked them to win by **** near 21. lol

Serious question - what’s the point of week 0? A few super random matchups (most of them garbage - I found myself watching Stanford-Hawaii because I was desperate for college football but good god those teams are dog ****) before the start of the real season? I just find it kind of random.

its sad how far the Stanford program has eroded. thats a really bad Division 1 team. really bad. there are probably 30-40 FCS teams that would beat them

I was in Scotland the night of an Ireland vs. Scotland rugby game. Sitting at the bar and I met some Irish rugby fans having a great time. They invited me to go pub crawling with them. At midnight. Had to work the next day so I said no way. You guys would bury me.

My #1 observation from this weekend of CFB, QB play is DOWN.

Coaches dinked & dunked their way to either victory or L's. But OC's for whatever reasons, were not letting their guys put it in the air.

Austin Simmons

Were really the only ones slinging it.

This QB class was touted to be far superior than 2025 group for the NFL draft, but it appears the 2026 NFL QB class is going to be a game manager extravaganza.

There isn't a QB in the country on Ward's level this year. Highly doubt a QB will go #1 in the '26 draft.

A QB could still go #1 in the draft because of how valuable the position is & teams tend to overdraft at QB anyways, but a QB will definitely not be the best player in the draft next year, no question.

Remember....the good teams are saving the good stuff for conference play, and the top shelf stuff for the playoffs.

So we should have some left over wheel routes and rubs from the last 2 years on deck.
