Some thoughts on the Clemson game...

As a fanbase we clearly have a love hate relationship with Herbie, but his comments about what Mario has built and the Saban/Alabama references were pretty telling of his true feelings.
Miami went there and flashed LY playoff style football and he saw it.
If we can get healthy we’re gonna take some folks lunch money.
He also said he loved the culture Mario has built, how there was continuity with the replacements in the game, how they cross-trained positions in the offseason. I know it’s the media after all, and if Clemson was beating the daylights out of us, they’d be talking about what a CFB god Dabo the nutless dumbo is. I don’t mind a couple of gaffs in four hours of air filling talk after a few Martinis.

Great crowd and was so happy the rain held off. Also, Clemson fans are great people and it's a great college town gameday experience, if you get the chance I highly recommend getting there for the next Miami game
One of buddies is a Clemson diehard and he took me to our last game there. Obviously a much different team and game result. We had a much better turnout this time too. I’ll for sure be at the next one with my 3 sons.

I'm still trying to figure out where the illegal shift took place.
This is the best view of it. Right at the bottom with Barkate who didn’t fully set right before Lofton goes in motion. Unfortunate call cause it was sooo close and it’s one of those that probably happens more often than not and refs usually let it go. And the fact that it had zero impact on the play / Toney’s TD

Hey, I felt what I felt lol

But my view is that Im not judging by the standard of beating any ACC team (to me, that should be a given) but stretches of play like that last portion of the second quarter will get you beat by a better team, or at least put you in more danger.
ITS OK STEVE I FELT THE SAME WAY AND OTHERS TOO WEATHER THEY CHOOSE TO ADMIT OR NOT 🙌🏼💯‼️

its interesting the reaction. I don't expect people to agree with anything I say. That's the way this thing works. But too many, well... some, think I have to say things that they agree with. Say whatever you want about me (and a lot is said, lol), I'm going to give you my honest thoughts at that time.

Hampton is a elite CB and it was a good matchup but Mali won 2 deep routes and on most of them short routes Hampton had bracket help and a hand full of jersey. Either way fun matchup and the type you want to see

I really think a game like this, where Cooper B got going was needed moving forward. And Toney is one of those players whose impact on a game goes beyond the box-score. Im actually beginning to think that Elija Lofton needs more touches. That happens, and this is a full-fledged pass offense on every level

Agreed. Mali does the big and small things so he's active without the ball. Definitely was glad to see Cooper get going and Lofton is gonna be a weapon as the season goes on he's gonna punish DBs in the open field

and Toney is the anti-diva, he is as selfless a superstar as this program has ever had. The same dynamic exists with Mark Fletcher. Those things are invaluable to a team. They bring incredible intangibles to the table

THEY WON'T SPEAK ON THAT THOUGH.... MALI WAS BRACKETED ALL GAME WITH TWO BODIES WITHIN HIS SIGHT.

Dude has had a top 20 O the last three years and apparently had nothing to do with it. You can’t make this crap up. Plenty of good coaches never got a HC spot, while complete idiots have gotten jobs, that isn’t indicative of anything other than Dawson not having great interview skills, or being picky about the job he takes.
If the offense is good its the talent, if the offense struggles its dawson. Insane he never gets the benefit of the doubt from our fanbase lol

Another #1 offense in the country 2nd in the last 3 years now its with a different qb, different wrs, different oline, different lead rb, different te. Nothing to do with the OC tho lol

No feel for the game but called 9 straight runs to ice the game. Called 3 game winning drives in the playoffs but no feel for the game lol

I really want to see this offense with a fully functioning Oline that can create more run game earlier. Dawson has been very good throughout his tenure at UM. He runs a modern offense that still stays within the principles of what Cristobal wants. I don't think that's an easy balance, especially for any coach with an Air Raid background...

I’ve seen a bunch of posts about Ashton Hampton locking up Toney. I just don’t see it. Toney got open at a solid clip against him, plus he usually had bracket help.

The two breakups seem flukey with a late throw and a bad play call. Motion your player right into Hampton and run a sit down route. Bad design.

Seemed like a quality battle to me, but not lockdown at all.

It's so bizarre how many people on here cannot deal with any opinions other than "Everything is ******* awesome, we have no problems, and you must think we are the best team ever or you aren't a real fan" even when it is coming from posters who are known to be credible and good posters.
